Do not use above a bed! After less than 3 years the command strips on the back of my picture that hung above my bed gave out. At midnight I was hit in the head with a 6 lb picture and now have a huge knot under my hair. I thank god my grand baby wasn’t staying with me last night! I was in the spot in the bed she normally sleeps in. I had 6 sets of strips on the back of the picture. Some are still on the wall, the rest are still on the back of the picture.

The glues is extremely weak. Weight capacity is less that a 10th of what is advertised.

Damage to walls when removed

Command strips did damage/remove paint from my walls when removed. All the walls in my house are plaster not sheet rock so nails are not really an option. I used command strips to hang decor/pictures in every room. I will say they held up heavy items to small items with no problem. So they do half of what they claim. The damage to walls is going to be costly to repair.

Definitely not damage free, all of these strips are awful. The tab breaks off from the bottom so you have to try to pry it off the wall without it. Every type of strip I’ve used has torn off the paint and the drywall paper under it. So many spots to patch.

Does not stick. NOT Same quality as they were years back. I used to live command strips for all my frames. I used it to hang a lightweight curtain rod. The rod Fell in lest than 30 minutes. The rod doesn't even weigh 1lb. Horrible quality, Do not recommend. Quality is no good.

Like these for not so heavy items. I have flat paint on my walls. I have tried to use this on heavy art work or shelves even though the weight is in the range of these Velcro strips and it doesn’t hold up. In one of my photos, the wood bat is hung with these Velcro strips and the art work above “you are our greatest adventure” fell using the Velcro strips. The second photo with the blue world map art is made of wood and has been going strong with the Velcro strips for over a year now. My suggestion is to use strips more than 2 spots on larger items like one on each corner if you need to hang larger items without making holes on the wall.

I love these command strips! I have had the same 2 on the back of a white board calendar (probably the length/width of an arm) and will just get two new ones to stick to the wall so I can put it back up when moving. They’ve been on for over 4 years now and haven’t failed me yet!
