A: Nana P, per the user manual, you shoud "not attempt to touch the housing of your appliance near the plates, as it is hot when in use." This does not have a rubber tip. I hope this helps.

Accurate temperatures, heats up fast. But the on/off/heat buttons are very thin and narrow--you need to use your fingernail to push them. Could've been designed better.

Decent tool to use for straightening your hair. I typically only need to go over each section of hair only once or twice. My hair is really soft and smooth when finished. My only issue with this tool is that there is a very loud buzzing sound that it makes while it’s on. I had reached out to the manufacturer and their solution was for me to cut the cord on it, send them a photo and then they will send me a replacement….that’s fine and dandy but what am I to use in the meantime after I cut that cord?? I need to be able to do my hair each day! So I have just been continuing to use it with the annoying buzzing sound.

And I’m so glad I did. It works amazing!! It heats up fast and stays hot. It works amazingly on my thick hair and just as well on my daughter’s thin/fine hair.
