Q: Has anyone tried making non-dairy ice cream with this?
A: Yes. I have to use regular canned coconut milk because it's thick & the ice cream will get thick.

Q: Are the bowls you put in the freezer very big?
A: The frozen bowl also works nicely as a wine bottle chiller when at summer picnic.

Q: How loud is it? How long does it take to churn a batch?
A: CJ, in terms of how loud this is we calculate it to be approximately 62 dB at 1 foot away and approximately 53 dB at 1 meter away. With respect to churning, this takes 20 minutes or less.

Q: Can you freeze the paddle along with the bowl before making ice cream?
A: We don’t recommend freezing the paddle and don’t think it will make a noticeable difference in forming the final ice cream.

Q: Does unit need rock salt to process ice cream ?
A: No this does not require rock salt and makes exceptional ice cream.

Q: The ice cream is very good, however, it sticks to the paddles and makes it hard to get off. Any ideas or suggestions?
A: It is best to remove the paddle from the bowl before putting the soft ice cream in the freezer to firm it up. A spoon or spatula can be used to wipe the paddle.

Q: Do the mixers inside the bowl actually spin or does the bowl turn around only
A: Thank you for your question. The paddle does not spin, just the bowl.
