I didn’t know Dawn changed their scent until I got this soap home and the new smell is awful, smells worse than the dirty dishes. I can’t use this, it makes me gag. DO NOT BUY. If their sales fall enough, they’ll be forced to reverse this awful change.

Why does this smell so perfumey now? Smells like febreeze on steroids. Can’t use it any longer, I don’t appreciate the migraine doing the dishes. So sick and tired of brands constantly changing things on tried-and-true products. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!!!!!!!

Finally worked my way mostly through my stockpile of dish soap and ordered a new refill. I had probably 3/4 of an 18 ounce countertop bottle left but topped it up with my new trusty Dawn refill only to be blown over by this horrendous scent. I'm not sensitive to scents normally but this is WAY too much. Can't get the smell off my glass dishes. I left most of the bottle in my apartment lobby for a neighbor in need with a sign "This stinks but free to a good home!" Works so well but there's no way I'll keep using this. Caveat emptor.

I've used Dawn for decades, but this new scent is unbearable! It smells like laundry detergent or a body wash and was making me feel sick just washing my dishes with it! Even worse, I couldn't get the smell off of my hands for literally hours even with repeated hand washing with hand soap. I will not be buying this any more which is really disappointing.

Not sure why Dawn felt they needed to add a ton of fragrance to a great, tried adn true product, but it's made it unusable for me. If you have sensitivies/allergies, be warned. This is one it takes several washes to get off your hands and leaves a strong smell in the room.

Bought this by mistake thinking it was original and didn't even know they had a "new" scent. But it is horrible (definitely not a clean smell), very permeating, lingers and burns your nose hairs. They only way I could use it was to dilute it with water. Tried that before I threw it out so did use it but never again.

Been using Dawn dishwashing liquids for decades and cannot see myself using any other product. I’ve attempted to use other products based on curiosity and have always gone right back to Dawn. It has so many uses too numerous to mention. In our home it’s used indoors and outdoors.
Gotta find something different now.

This was my go-to for years, but the new scent is impossible to wash off. My hands smell like the soap for hours after I do dishes. Whatever you do, don't wash glasses or water bottles with this.

The "Clean Scent" is horrible and smells like chemicals. Was the original scent really an issue to keep going when you offer 400 other scents? The original scent is the only one I ever wanted and now I don't even have a choice -- but oh thankfully I can still buy "White Rain" or some other nonsense.

Washing dishes with Dawn and kept thinking what is stinking. Look at the bottle I had just opened and realized it was Dawn's new scent. Disgusting and overpowering. Bring back the original scent. Also, does not de-grease dishes as well as it used to. Have to use more to get greasy film off dishes. Get two stars for the awful new smell and not change of cleaning power.

Been a long time since we’ve needed a new bottle if Dawn, so just now finding out it now has an awful scent. Put it back to the original. Now I have to find a new brand of dish soap and I’ve used Dawn for decades.

There's not many things you can't clean with this product. From grease, oil, to dirt and grime. Also kills fleas, what more could you ask for
