Was fun while it lasted, which was not long. Now when I turn them on they just beep over and over again and no longer work as walkie talkies.
Constant Connection Issue

When it worked it was pretty cool, but the walkie talkie's stopped connecting with each other after a few uses. Press the green button on both devices and it just keeps calling until it disconnects. THe kids weren't abusive with them and they still look new. More plastic waste produced and discarded. Can't believe they can keep selling this after seeing several similar issues in the reviews here. Buyer beware...

These are great walkie talkies for littles, in that they are cute, nature-themed, and don't require little fingers to hold down buttons during conversation, or interfering with incoming call. After seeing multiple reviews describing the same incessant beeping in one set, I'm no longer blaming my 5 and 3 year olds for breaking them. The issue began as many as 8 months after purchase. Very disappointed.

These make a bunch of grasshopper noises, and are almost impossible to connect. They only connect when they are directly next to each other then lose connection a few feet apart. They are super durable though.. After a few hours of failed connections, my kids threw them at a brick wall. They didn’t shatter, but they still aren’t connecting.

They both worked briefly but now for no reason one just only beeps loudly. Not sure what to do! My kids enjoyed them until this issue started up but now they're pretty much broken.

got these for a birthday gift, for my kid. They don't keep a signal down a hallway or even outside across a 3 car driveway. very in and out/staticky where I cannot make anything out. It's easier to yell and be heard across the street than it is to use these clearly. Terrible execution on these. I wrote in to see if I could do something different to get a better signal but they never responded.

I just got these as a gift and am trying to get them set up, but they don't seem to be working. One of them seems okay but the other one just beeps loudly...also I'm not hearing the microphone working.

We got these for our 3 and 5 year old. They love talking to each other on them. It’s really nice that you don’t have to hold the button to talk.

One of the walkies broke within one hour of purchase. It only will emit high pitched beeping. No troubleshooting is available on the product website so I have no idea what's wrong with it.

Both sets I've trod so far are broken. One walkie talkie would not turn on. Another would not play any sound but the ear piercing connect/disconnect sound.

These will pair and transmit right next to each other but if one child goes downstairs or even in another room, nothing. Brand new Duracel Quantum batteries. Sure, standard walkie talkies are more complicated but isn't the fun in using walkie talkies in being in two different places? Talking at a speaking volume can do what these do and without batteries.

My daughter was already grabbing a small book, putting it up to her ear and talking to it like a phone. When I got her these walkie talkies, she pressed the buttons and was amused by the bird sounds. When I showed her how it worked--how she could talk to daddy downstairs, she was fascinated! It's especially nice that she doesn't have to keep pressing buttons to talk and "pairing" is easy even if they got disconnected. Now she will tote it around saying "helloooooo" all over the house.

This walkie talkie is easily one of my daughter's favorite toys! She absolutely loves parading around the yard talking to her friends on the other side of the fence. I love that there are no confusing buttons for her to figure out, once the walkie talkies are linked she is good to go, all she has to do from there is talk, how cool is that! She loves her walkie talkie so much that she has asked me if she could keep one in her room to talk to mommy across the house.
Easier than old-school walkie talkies

The innovation in walkie talkie technology is fantastic- there's a speakerphone feature that allows the kids to just push the talk button once and it stays connected, rather than having to hold down the button everytime they talk. These are a little pricier than other walkie talkies I've seen, but this design makes them way more useful for younger kids. My under-4 year old kids were able to quickly figure out how to use them and were able to maintain their conversation. Also, somehow these didn't have that terrible feedback sound when one kid talked into one and held the other in his other hand to listen to himself. They do make fairly loud bug/bird noises, which the kids love but are probably better for outdoor use. They seem fairly sturdy but there were some small pieces that my kids were quickly able to pop off, but I could snap them right back on.

We recently purchased the #GeoSafari walkie talkies by Educational Insights. My kids were THRILLED when these arrived and I could barely open the package fast enough. As soon as I loaded the batteries and showed them how they worked, they were off to play for HOURS! What we love about these walkie talkies is that there is only one button to press to communicate and both kids can talk at the same time. The walkie talkies use a technology that is like a speaker phone, so the kids can talk and listen at the same time. This is what won me over. We have another pair of walkie talkies I had purchased about a year ago, but the concept of pressing the button to talk, and releasing it to listen was hard for my kids, and they became frustrated and lost interest quickly. These walkie talkies are so easy to use that they have become playtime staples. The kids were able to get pretty good range out of them, too. While one child was in the basement, another child could still communicate with them from the second floor of our house. The volume isn't too loud, either. I also like the material they are made out of, as they seem to be quite sturdy and able to handle rough play. I would highly recommend purchasing them if you are in the market for toy walkie talkies for your kids!
