Just get this. If you are planning a c-section, add to cart. If you just heard that someone had an emergency c-section, send a same day delivery of this to their hospital room. Is your partner making a target run for you after your emergency c-section? Have them get this for you. I have had 8 babies, and only one c-section. I had no idea what I'd need, but the binder they gave me in the hospital was pressing my belly to my incision, making it feel sticky and burning. They put the instant ice packs on it, which was wonderful, but it felt unstable and weird. I like that this one came with reusable packs and had front and back, so I had him get it. It's so nice to put the hospital ice pack directly on my incision, lay this on top of it, apply the binder, then use the mesh panties or depends to hold it all together. This keeps my belly from sticking to my incision. It also helps me support my incision when I stand because the cushion is very gentle on it. I love putting the hot pad in the back because the bed is uncomfortable and when my back hurts, it's cushioned. I only take it off to let my skin breathe during this first week. The only drawback is that the fabric on the front pouch is too scratchy to use until my incision is closed, so I put a soft layer over it for now, either a light cloth or just use the hospital cold packs against my skin. Once I'm done using this for c-section recovery, I think it will be good during periods to keep heat on my back and belly. Heck, I think it would even be nice to cushion my lower back when I sit at my desk. If I picked one thing that I got that made the biggest difference in my recovery, it's this thing. 10/10

This is a decent product. It’s comfortable to wear while both standing and sitting. It offers some protection and support. I like that it provides a little padding against accidental bumps. It’s not a compression garment so it doesn’t replace an abdominal binder but it’s a more comfortable alternative once in a while. All things considered though, I think the price point is too high.
This band gives back and c section support. I love that there are 2 packs. I can apply ice to the incision while providing heat to my achy back. Ice just doesn't last long. Want 2nd pack for freezer

Buyer beware: this product cause a painful rash. Overall, I liked this product. I was wishing there were extra gel packs for purchase because they don’t stay cold for super long. However, after using this product for a short amount of time, I developed contact dermatitis that was extremely itchy and painful. After taking the band off, I had a perfect outline of the band in the form of a rash. It was itchy so I took a shower which ultimately made it feel worse and insatiably burn. I was in such a panic trying to find some hydrocortisone. Do yourself a favor and keep some itch cream on hand if you buy this product.

Loved the ice pack design but it wouldn't stay snug in the sense of the bands remaining locked. Instead it simply would unthread. Would be super comfy if it fit well

My mom bought this for me before I had my second c-section, and I didn’t even look at the box but assumed I wouldn’t need it. When I got home from the hospital, I took a look at it to see how it could help, and realized it can hold ice packs in place! I was/am having a ton of incision area pain, and this has been life saving! Recommending it to all of my friends who are anticipating a c-section!

Can barely feel ice through thick band. Band is supportive. Got this for my myomectomy surgery and it was great but I end up putting the ice pack under the band instead of in it

Seems to be helping slowly. I don't find the ice/heat packs necessary, but they are great for heating up to use when I'm about to pump or breastfeed

The heating/cooling options weren’t really needed for me but I’m sure it would be useful for others who apply heat or coolness to pain areas. But the main reason why I did not care for this pack was because it didn’t compress tightly. It kept coming loose and slipping which would just cause me to feel more pain.

This was a godsend after my emergency c-section. My daughter was in the nicu so riding in the car to go see her was a must, this helped keep my incision cool and kept the seat belt from rubbing on it. Best purchase. Will be loaning to my cousin for after her hysterectomy.

Unfortunately I had to have a c-section with my second baby. From having an unplanned c-section with my first, I knew the recovery was going to be rough again and wanted to try everything to make this one a little easier. I splurged and bought a bunch of c-section recovery items. I remembered that having some pressure on the incision area always felt good. I also have a toddler who wants to climb all over me, and so I was so afraid of having the incision get bumped by him. This belt was so great! It added a bit of pressure (I tightened it as much as possible), made me feel less exposed to bumps/accidental hits, and the cooling from the ice pads was so comforting! Overall, it was very helpful in my recovery.

There is hardly any products out there for c-sections mamas. This recovery band is great for reducing pain and giving a little padding over the incision. Perfect for when things bump into you after surgery, even the slightest touch to the area is painful. It is made of high quality material and is very sturdy. The hot/cold pads included work well. I would definitely buy this again if I had anymore babies.

This product is way better than the waist binder than the hospital provided. Feels like it holds me together, making it easier and less painful sitting up and getting out of bed. Also provides much needed back support, alleviating pain. The straps feel very sturdy, allowing me to tighten as needed. The hot and cold packs are the cherry on top. Wish I had gotten this sooner. Very minor cons are that it can be can of bulgy in the back with the pack in and that it loosens when trying to flatten it out. However, I noticed that it helps to hold the strap to avoid this. I'm also very concious of the closure, so as not to pinch anything.
The best

Loved it!!! Recently had my second C-section and this was a life saver. I would clip it on any time I needed to get up and walk around. The cooling pad really helps with the pain. How I wish this was around when I had my first born.

I was going back and forth on buying this for months during pregnancy, but never did. I ended up picking it up on the way home from the hospital and am so glad I did! I just wish it came with an extra set of packs so you could keep one in the freezer while you wear the other.
