A: I just purchased this product online and there is no removable brew basket within the swing out brew basket. A paper filter is required.

This is my second time purchasing a small-sized Hamilton Beach coffee maker. My first purchase was without the timer function, and then I bought this one, hoping the issues with the first one wasn't down to the model. After a few months of use, both models started leaking coffee down the back of the maker down to the hot plate while making coffee. By the time it starts malfunctioning, the return window has passed so I've been stuck. It's worth spending more on a higher quality item that will work longer than a few months.

I have had this coffee maker only 6 months. I have taken very good care of it but starting about a month ago the carafe began to leak coffee all over the place when I go to pour myself a cup. I am unsure what happened to cause this but it happens every single time and it’s getting annoying cleaning up spilled coffee.

I like how easy this is to program and it is simple to use. This brews a pot of coffee good and doesn't take long to brew a pot either. This coffeemaker is really sturdier and the pot is made really well too.

My older cousin came to live with us. She's suffering from mental issues due to us birth contracting covid. So I figured this is small enough for her to use for her daily tea and would be easy enough to pour. I love that it's so compact, fits nicely on my apartment counter. I also love that you can remove to pour and the brewing stops. The directions were simple and easy to follow. The brewing was very fast. My only drawback was when pouring there was a lot of spillage from the spout. I think if it was longer that would help. Other than that I'd rate it a 5.

With there only being two of us drinking coffee, and even then it being hours apart from each other, this is the perfect size for my husband to make a large, equivalent to 2 cups for work and for me to make more later without making way more than is needed or leaving one on warm for hours. The swing open basket is so user friendly and the front fill water area is as well. Much easier than dumping it in the top and either trying to squeeze in under a cabinet or moving it to over the sink to fill. The programming is extremely simple and worked on command like a charm .

We set it at night and have it programmed to brew a pit in the morning for us. It was easy to set up and install. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Clean up is simple as well, the grounds do not travel and grit up the machine. We really enjoy the fresh cup each morning and save money by not going through a drive through.

The fact that it’s 5 cups is perfect for me as I don’t drink more than 2 cups a day. I love that it has the clock and I can program it to have my coffee ready for me when I wake up. I love that it gets filled from the front, it makes it so much easier to fill with the water this way. It brews pretty fast which is always a plus. The small size is great for traveling too. Overall this is a good little coffee pot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hamilton Beach 5 cup coffee maker to review and I absolutely love it it is the perfect size for a small kitchen as it doesn’t take up as much space as a regular size coffee maker, I love that it has the option to select if you want regular or bold coffee if you like your coffee stronger like I do. It brews very fast and it also has a clock so you can set it for when you want it to start brewing and that is awesome to have your fresh brewed coffee waiting for you when you get up in the morning. I really can’t say enough good things about this coffee maker I absolutely love it!!
