The clear plastic dome and grinding mechanism can be removed and washed between jobs and the cord stores in the base. When it is time to set sourdough starter aside for a while, I add flour to the wet starter to absorb the moisture until I have a crumbly texture. I set that aside - either in my freezer OR in my dehydrator until it is COMPLETELY dry, then I grind the crumbles and store the powder in a tightly capped jar, there to sleep until it is time to awaken and bake.

I love my coffee and now being able to grind my own coffee beans I love coffee even more. You are able to get a better taste from grinding your own. This is very easy to use and clean. It is also a great size to fit in any cabinet or on any shelf.

Awful little grinder. The first week had me thinking I had gotten one over on the coffee grinder gods- inexpensive, grinding away- but that was just a teaser. It has a very short cord- so that makes it awkward. You fill the tiny top with beans and spend 15 minutes trying to get it to fit “just right” or it won’t turn on. Please don’t be as fool hearted as me. Buy something better- I made the mistake for you!
