Better than our last hamilton beach iron, gets the job done for the most part. I use to to iron my husbands police uniform. It does take longer on some parts of the uniform due to how thick the fabric is. I also have an issue when it comes to using starch and white residue being left behind that is extremely hard to make go away

I'm a little surprised at the good reviews I read when looking into this iron. The only thing going for it is that it's heavy (and that's debatable as many people do not care for a heavy iron). It does steam, but only sort of, and if using without steam it barely presses at all. It doesn't seem to heat up very much at all. I had a 7 year old Panasonic cordless I was replacing, due to battery life declining, and I got a better press out of that.

I have bought and used a lot of irons through the years and I iron every day. This has been the best by far. I had to purchase another one because my current iron had an accident and fell and the bottom broke. The iron worked but could not stand it up. I plan to purchase another for my daughter.

Do not use this for vertical steaming. This function is simply a blast of steam, not a continuous stream. Was terrible trying to steam by drapes. However, based on the other reviews I’m sure it’s a great iron for traditional ironing

Purchased 2 mths ago. QUALITY RESULTS, so far no complaints. Perfect iron for cotton shirts and cotton fabrics (sewers). Rated with 4 stars because I cannot review the steam function. Research irons for months, and finally found this one. Wish Target carried it in stores 5 stars for using as DRY IRON (no water inside). I use a spray bottle with distilled water so I never need to clean the inside of iron. Empty iron is not too heavy. 8 ft cord is perfect. So worth it. Try it! Won't be sorry. Con: like most new irons the dial is poorer quality than past irons but it has not affected it's performance. Great iron by today's standards.

It's just my opinion and mine alone; THIS IS THE BEST IRON In The MARKETS TODAY. It's made like the old-fashioned irons; IT GETS HOT ENOUGH TO DO THE JOB!

It is a bit bigger than my last one but I like that it covers more space when ironing large items like curtains.It looks really nice and irons well. It warms up super fast. It has steam settings and heat only settings. I like that are several choices for whatever material I am ironing. It is well built and seems to be of high quality. I have no complaints and plan on using this iron for a long time!

It is shaped and sized to get all the wrinkles out without effort. Steam is easy to use. I highly recommend this iron. If you are not disabled it will make ironing a non chore.

I used this Iron on different types of fabrics and was very pleased at how the wrinkles come right out. I like that i can adjust the temperature and that I can turn off the steam function when I don't need it. I've sometimes forgot to turn the Iron off, and very pleased to know it shuts off itself when not in use, making it safe and very reliable. I highly recommend this product.

Ironing seems on my crafts was very smooth. The variable temperatures helped with my many types of fabric that I use. Works great for everyday ironing as well.

This iron heats up quickly and perfectly steams all of the wrinkles from my clothes. The vertical steam option allows you to remove wrinkles from hanging clothes as well, which saves a ton of time. The extra long cord is a definite plus when finding a place to use it in your home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Hamilton Beach Stainless Steel Soleplate Iron for approximately a month now and I am absolutely in love with it. The Iron is extremely well constructed from good quality materials and with good quality dials and buttons that will not break easily (an issue with other irons I have had in the past). This appears to be a product that will last a long time, before needing to be replaced. The iron fills easily, although the one I received did not come with the little water container that I am used to getting with other steam irons, but this was not an issue for me as I have many. The Iron heats quickly and the plate appears to maintain a constant heat through out (not cold spots) and the steam delivery is perfect, with no dripping water. The plate moves smoothly and removes wrinkles quickly and I find the balanced weight to be perfect for me, making ironing easy and enjoyable for me. There are a good number of options for different heat settings and the iron adjusts quickly and efficiently. This is a really nice iron, and it makes doing laundry so much easier. This is a product that lives up to the good quality I expect from Hamilton Beach and I recommend this to others looking for a good quality iron that will last.

I'm glad I chose this iron over some of the other options at the store. It was a bit more expensive, but it makes up for that in the better quality.

It heats up quickly, has a long cord so I can use the available plug and not worry about moving things around when I need to iron. It warms up quickly and gets out all my wrinkles. It's 1500 watts of power and I love using the steam feature to release those stubborn creases. It's ergonomic and lightweight fitting in my hand perfectly making it easy to use. I love the automatic shut off in case for some reason I walk away leaving the iron on.

Stainless steel soleplates have excellent glide when ironing and are also the easiest to clean. This iron is not too heavy, has stainless steel soleplate and heats up quickly. I just give it a quick wipe down after ironing and I'm good til next time! I am totally satisfied with this iron!
