Description
This one-of-a-kind gate system fits a standard 6’ hearth and most BBQ grills providing protection from the hot surfaces and flames of in-use fireplaces, accessing gas starter keys, sharp edges, hard corners and dirty logs. The door section can be placed anywhere in the layout giving you access where needed. Magnet lock technology draws door to the closed position and locks automatically. Each section is hinged with a rotating joint to allow for custom set up. Quick release hardware allows for easy removal when needed. The original 3 piece ConfigureGate will fit a 128” opening. With 2 included G4311 (24") extensions will fit an 176" opening. Optional extensions are available in 9” and 24” sections allowing for a custom fit. The system can be connected to use around wood burning stoves or to create a freestanding play area. (We recommend at least 2 additional sections for free standing play area).

Q: Is this heat resistant? We would be installing it around our wood stove, but I am worried about it getting hot and our son touching it and burning himself.

A: The Hearth Gate is made of metal and can heat up, it is recommended to be set up at least 24" from the heat source.

A: The Auto Close Configure Gate does need to be installed to be secured, it is not designed to be free-standing.

A: The hearth gate is not able to be converted to pressure mounted gate, the hardware does need to be installed.

This baby gate worked perfect for the bottom of our stairs where a traditional pressure mounted one wouldn’t. The gate opening swings both ways. The way it mounts to the walls having to deal with base boards my husband was very impressed with how it was designed to accommodate that. Overall very pleased.

Love the customization of this gate! We had an odd length area to enclose and this worked perfectly! The auto-close door, and easy opening latch are great for when traversing with a newborn/full hands! Absolutely worth the price.

This gate is great for the wide doorway in my dining room. Auto Close door is a fantastic feature. Door can be placed anywhere in the system so you can customize. I would recommend the KidCo Configure gate.

Arrived In a beat up broken box retapped. One part was broken. Tried to return it to Target they said i have to wait til mid April due to Coronavirus. So annoying. For $178 i expect better.

Easy to adjust how you want to set it. Whether that be blocking a room, fireplace or adjusting it into an octagon or hexagon. (Depending on how many extensions you have.) it is very useful. I love it. However, mine came broken from one of the bars/elbows where it connects to the other. It was easy to get that one side disconnected, but would be better to have the whole gate. Please note, I was able to try this in exchange for my honest opinion. That being said, my opinions are real and honest. Which is why I gave it four stars. I absolutely love it. Easy to install and position the way I want. However, it was broken and left me disappointed.

I've been contemplating removing, but thanks to the angle ext of this gate it will now not be a problem. The garden is still seen and the water feature will still be able to be enjoyed. This gate was easy to install and it has great stability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After it was set up, it has been a good gate and keeps my 2 youngest away from areas they are not supposed to be in. having a huge gap between my living room and kitchen, most gates were too short so it was good that this came with 2 extensions that ended up fitting perfectly. This has made it easy for me to cook dinners without freaking out about my kids running in and hurting themselves or making me jump and burn myself which has happened many times. his gate provides a great safety boundary and works for animals as well. Overall I feel this is a great gate to own as it is extendable.

I love this gate. First one broke after a few years, so I replaced it with the same one. It is pretty easy for kids to open. Both my 4 and 6 yr old do it no problem. In my case that is what I want since I use it to keep the pets out of the playroom and want the kids to get through it

We have an extremely large opening between our dining room and our living room. We also have three dogs and a toddler. I find it's important to keep them separated the majority of the time, so this gate was just what I needed. It fit the opening perfectly, the door of the gate is easy to open and close (for the adults), and the metal is non-chewable (for the dogs). This is just the product we were looking for!

We have a sunken family room with one step up into the next room. We needed something to block that step and this gate is working out really well. I like that it stays open when i need it to and closes behind me with a magnetic type force. The swinging door is a bit tricky to open at first, you need to lift up and out. It's been a piece of mind for us, I only wish I had purchased it sooner!
