KitchenAid Artisan Series 5qt Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and would never pull the trigger. I finally did it and I'm so happy! So easy to use and I can't wait for holiday baking this year! I'm in love with the color.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My children got together and bought me this beautiful machine for my 61st birthday. They know I’ve wanted one for so very long, but having these amazing kids meant that their needs came first as they were growing up, and there wasn’t money for something for mom’s kitchen…and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!! But they never forgot me looking at this machine whenever I got the chance. They grew up with a single mom who always had her little hand mixer out, making yummy cookies, pies, squares, etc and thy decided it was time for mom/now nana, to have her stand mixer. And of course it had to be pink … because they know their mom!!! I’ve been happily baking for anyone and everyone and I’m hoping to start getting some of the other attachments as soon as I can!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for the Artisan Series 5 Mixer, but unfortunately, it has been a disappointment. Even on the lowest speed, it flings ingredients out of the bowl, creating a mess. The included shield helps somewhat, but it doesn’t fully prevent spills. For a premium mixer, I expected better control and design. If you bake frequently and want a clean workspace, this might not be the best choice.

Very happy with this mixer although I do wish the color was the bluish green as it appears in the picture. In person it is more blue imo. It still looks terrific and it goes beautifully with the blue green ceramic leaf bowl that can be bought separately. Of course what really matters, more than the appearance, is the excellent quality behind Kitchenaid and I have faith in that from previous experiences with their products. Customer Service was super friendly, polite and efficient too which is always a bonus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Kitchenaid Artisan 5-quart tilt-head stand mixer about a month ago and we have used this for everything! From the shredder/slicer attachment to slice vegetables and shred cheese, to making bread dough with the included dough hook and whipping heavy cream into fresh butter with the whisk attachment. This mixer doesn't vibrate or slide around the counter. Quality craftsmanship at its best! This mixer has worked flawlessly and like a dream! I will be a lifetime customer!

I use it multiple times a week and I’m very pleased with the performance and larger capacity. I’ve made tons of baked goods using this mixer already, it grates cheese SO quickly with the attachment and makes simplifying a recipe a breeze. I’m so excited to use this for years to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift that I do love, I have hesitated for years to buy one for myself. I was afraid that I would not be able to whip cream as well and that I would have an issue with it not getting all ingredients off the sides. Well, it does whip cream as well as my 1982 Oster, it just takes longer, but it definitely still has an issue with getting ingredients off the side of the bowl. I understand that an attachment will help with this, but am disappointed that this issue has not been taken care of and the attachment sold with the bowl. Instead, I will purchase an off brand since they seem to have come up with a better solution for this appliance. Also, this same company sells a add on handle to help lift the appliance. Love the machine, just wish they would upgrade when a problem is known. Again, I waited years for this to be fixed and my Oster by the way is running.

I looks beautiful on my kitchen counter and it has been great for baking. I made homemade bread for the first time and it was so nice having my Kitchenaid to do the mixing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. It does leave a bit of batter in the bottom I am going to try the rubber edge beater to see if that helps. That being said I use it all the time and love it. It’s my second one had my first one 35 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do Not Recommend! I had a Kitchenaid no-tilt stand mixer for many years and loved it. We recently replaced it with another Kitchenaid stand mixer with the tilt head. Old mixer still worked and looked as new. The new mixer is incredibly difficult to slide the speed selector into the on/lowest setting. I generally have to go around, face the side with the selector and then it will move, but with some force applied and it moves abruptly, sometimes into 2nd setting. I’ve tried raising the lever slightly as manual says to do but still no better. I’ve tried multiple “fixes” based on online info but none worked either. Should NOT be difficult to slide into place. The new mixer also lighter and/or has LESS POWERFUL MOTOR because when using the bread dough hook to knead bread dough the mixer “bounces”. If I hold it down it doesn’t do this. I’m sure this CAN’T BE GOOD for the MOTOR and the MIXER itself. The second time I used the mixer, the cap over the opening to the power hub for additional attachments popped off and landed in the mixer while I was mixing dough. We were VERY lucky that it didn’t, break the beater, jam the machine and burn up the motor. Needless to say, the dough had to be thrown out! I’ve begun looking for a replacement stand mixer since we gave the original mixer to our daughter-in-law. They love it! If there’s a fairly easy fix for these issues I would like to know. As it is, until I find another mixer as nice as my original Kitchenaid, I won’t be using the this one very much. DO NOT RECOMMEND

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this product to replace the original one I was gifted back in 2007. It is a workhorse just like the first, but I do miss having the spring where the attachments connect to the mixer. The matte blue is beautiful.

I contacted the manufacturer and they issued a new one, haven’t had the opportunity to test this one yet but I wanted to give a thumbs up to the customer service team.
