Q: What is the difference between a Classic and a Classic plus?

A: Description says 250watts for the Classic and 275watts for the Classic pro. That is what the details say, I'm not 100% sure as I haven't received my Classic Pro yet and also the first answer says it's from the "Kitchen Aid Team" and I'd hope they would know so maybe it's a misprint in the details and like they say "color" options is the only difference. Then again color wouldn't make it for professional use in my opinion but more power would.

A: Hi Shsri, KitchenAid made the decision in 2016 to no longer place the spring on the beater shaft on all Classic and Artisan Tilt Head Mixers. By removing the spring and washer on the shaft, it is a benefit as it leaves the beater shaft much easier to clean without the spring. It is also not necessary for the operation of the unit as the tools stay locked without them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Kitchenaide stand mixer for about 20 years. It did finally die. Never had any trouble until it died. So I ordered a new one. Exact same model. Ive used it a few times now for cookie doughs and a loaf of bread. It does seem to work well, just not as well as my old one did. It seems to not be put together as well - the metal name band is very lose and the whole machine makes way more noise. I’ll keep it and use it, but I’m not sure if it will be replaced in kind.

It incorporates the flour with creamed butter, sugar, and egg reasonably well but the mixer could use more power. I wonder how well it would handle heavier bread dough without bogging down or even burning out the motor.

The bucket is big enough that it can do multiple batches of dough. I am not a baker or cook, however I have found this appliance really easy to operate. I have not used all the attachments so far but they appear to be sturdy, it does have weight in the device. This is my first kitchen Aid appliance and I am impressed with the quality. I purchased the white stand mixer, it is white (not cream or off white). It’s a really easy to clean. I am happy with my purchase. Has saved me so much time.
