[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pleased with my purchase and the quality is top notch. It spiralizes zucchini perfectly for zucchini noodles. I usually use half regular pasta and half veggie pasta. The case it comes in keeps it safely stored. The only thing I wish was that there was a smaller spiralizer that I could use for beets and carrots in salads. I hope it lasts as long as my KitchenAid mixer that I bought used over 35 years ago.

Easy to use but not good for pies

Got this as a gift. I make apple pies from scratch. Its easy-to-use but the slices are thin. My hand operated slicer peeler makes better slices for pies. There is no blade for thicker slices for pies. I used the slicer blade with the apple on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the peeler attachment. It came with very thorough instructions with pictures. My sister and I first tried apples, it was fun. Then we used it for potatoes. There are multiple blades so you can make curly fries, or thinner strips for say zucchini. The blades are all very sharp so be careful when washing and handling them. I think we will have fun with this attachment for years to come.

Expensive apple pealer

3 out of 5 stars
Strict Constructionist - 3 months ago

Just bought this to make pealing, coring, and slicing apples easier for apple pie. The thickest slicer/corer is not large enough to do a good job. The core is just a bit too small and leaves some core and seeds on the slices when using a Granny Smith apple about 3¼" in diameter. The slices are too thin for those who like a chunky apple pie. Wound up only using the pealer which could be designed a bit better to not gouge out so much of the flesh of the apple. I used an apple corer and knife to core and slice the apples after pealing. It is well constructed but suffers from some design oversights.

Time and hands saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy to have invested in this. I go apple picking every year and come home with ten pounds or more of apples. This peeler went through them in an hour! I had everything peeled, cored, and sliced and into vacuum sealed bags in less than two hours. It used to take me all day! This has saved my hands and my time! Its easy to assemble and use. Also, all the parts that touch the food come off and go in the dishwasher! I couldn't be more happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ALWAYS buy authentic for your KitchenAid!! Buying off-brand is cheaper in the now, sure... BUT when you have to buy two because the first one breaks, and then by name brand anyways because the second knockoff you buy does too, you've already wasted more money than you should have if you had just bought the OG to begin with. It also comes with a sweet case (cardboard w/ thermoformed fitted plastic insert to keep organized), the option to register it if so desired (I think there's a warranty, not sure) and seven different attachments!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t used this for spiralizing yet—only for peeling/slicing apples, so this is not a complete review. It works pretty well for apples, but here are 3 reasons why I prefer either to use a hand-crank apple peeler like NorPro or to use a veg peeler and a knife: 1, the extra prep work to remove stems and slice off the bottom and top of the apple before loading it. 2, I have to use pliers to remove the core after each apple is done. 3, I can’t choose to peel/core without slicing. It certainly works, though, and it’s fast, but not any faster for me than peeling and cutting manually.

Great but needs work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great when it works... there should be a cover over the track it runs on. If doing apples and juice gets on it the peeler sticks and the auger skips and won't continue forward. You have to push it along so it will peel.

Worked great the first time…not the second..

I was given this as a gift about a year ago and only just needed it (Apple season). It worked great for the first bushel of apples but when I started on the second bushel, the peeler would not click into place. I took it apart (fortunately I had the correct size Allen Wrench) and had to bend the metal a bit to get the prong to stick up through the hole to click it into place. It seems a bit odd that it would just be held in place with a screw through plastic… anyway, it is working fine again, but I am concerned this is a failure waiting to happen.
