KVD Beauty Waterproof Tattoo Pencil Eyeliner - 0.38oz - Ulta Beauty

I bought this eyeliner in the shade Axinite Brown, and it is by far the worst eyeliner I have ever bought. It is made of a hard wax (reminiscent of a Crayola twistable) with no color transfer whatsoever. I even tried drawing with firm pressure on my hand and absolutely nothing. I had bought this product on the Black Friday sale to put aside until my previous eyeliner was done and I deeply regret it now that it is past the return window. This was such a waste of money.

This is the only eyeliner I've ever found that doesn't go anywhere no matter what you do. No smudging no smearing just stays in place. Doesn't crumble.

Wish i had read other comments before purchasing as this is soooo dry and hard to apply!! When i do manage to place it it looks awful, like a dried crayon.

I have been looking for a neon orange liner, and while this one isn't quite traffic cone, it's been an impossible shade to find in a pencil, and this is the closest I could find. It is so dry i have to tug. I wish it was easier to use. I am going to be keeping and using it, however, I'm also going to keep looking for the perfect pencil in my preferred colour because this isn't it.

When I sampled in the store it seemed to be long wearing, after purchase, it was very hard to apply. I had to press so hard it hurt my eye

KVD is a brand that fell off my radar years ago, but I heard they bought the formula to the Marc Jacobs Highliner and had to see for myself. It is truly the same formula. The pencil is a gel formula that glides on smoothly and the black is the blackest black ever, just like the old Blacquer. It IS Blacquer. It can be easily smudged with a pencil brush for a softer smoked out look or applied with a liner brush for a cleaner look. Highliner was the only eyeliner I could use to tightline my upper lashline that lasted all day. The KVD pencils don't have the other colors Marc Jacob had but they have the basics. Unfortunately, these pencils also dry out quickly and there is no hope in making them work once that happens because the liner gets sort of sticky but also dry and won't spread. I happened to get fresh pencils from my Ulta but from what I remember, my Highliner pencils started getting dry after a few months and I had to toss all the new, still in the box pencils I had hoarded after a year of having them. The formula itself is absolutely amazing.

It does not go one smoothly at all… in fact I have tried many times to apply it and I cannot get it to go on at all. DO NOT BUY

So dry I thought it might have just been defective until I just read all of the reviews. I will definitely be returning this tomorrow. It is not even usable. I bought the mascara and it was really nice though.

How are people making this work? I just bought it inspite of the dry doesn't work comments. I should have listened. I just wanted it that bad! I even tried old school warm it up! It's awful. Didn't work at all for me. Hope it works for yall.

Love the color

I wanted a dark green eyeliner so I was happy kvd had a beautiful color in stock. However, when I received my package, the eyeliner was completely dried out, not creamy and barely any pigment even after testing on the back of my hand. A couple seconds later the whole inside pencil part just fell out of the package..

As many other reviews have said, this product is dried out and cannot be applied. I ordered one online, and the pigment stick stuck to the lid, broke, and fell out when I first tried to use it. I put the stick back in, then realized it was dried out and unusable. No matter how hard I applied the pencil on the back of my hand, only the faintest shadow showed up. A delicate eye lid is not where I would even attempt to apply this. I figured this was a dud, so exchanged it instore for another one, but tried the instore tester first to see what the product was supposed to feel like. The tester glided on easily. When I tried the new eyeliner, the same thing happened: the stick fell out and was completely dry and unusable. I don't undersrand why the tester would perform so much differently than the actual product customers receive, but this eyeliner is terrible. Buy any other eyeliner in the store before getting this one.

Color doesn't glide. Gel crumbles once you apply it.

Super disappointed. The eyeliner is not creamy. It's dried out. Doesn't apply at all.

didn't show on my face at all and hurt trying to apply the gritty liner. hoping to get a refund or something

I bought both the brown and the black liner. The brown liner was hard and I ended up throwing it out. Definitely don't recommend it. The black liner was easier to apply and did not last. Don't recommend either

I purchased blue and brown, but once I tried to use them my soul cried at the wasted expenditure. They are so dry, not creamy at all. They tug at the skin, and require an uncomfortable amount of pressure in the sensitive eye area to get even a modicum of product applied. Save yourself the wailing and gnashing of teeth from being victimized by corporate cosmetics overlords who care about money and not pride in product.

I do not often write reviews, but I felt I had to with this particular product. The eyeliner was so dry I wasn't able to get anything close to the pigmented blue in the picture. When I tried to blend it crumbled off, AVOID
