Great value, amazing mini figure lineup, and great playable. The amount of detail is unbelievable and this in my opinion stands toe to toe with Rivendell and blows the Shire out of the water. Great build experience and would highly recommend for any lord of the rings fan.
A must-have for a LOTR fan!

I'll be honest, I'm a Lord of the Rings fan before I'm a LEGO fan and Rivendell is what drew me back into the world of LEGO since childhood. I debated getting Barad-Dur but my mom ended up buying it for me for my birthday. It is SUCH a fun build and the little secrets and mechanisms are so cool to put together and use. I love having the little Frodo and Sam at Mount Doom in the corner as well. There's so many little details. It's super striking sitting in my sister's old room (it is now the LEGO room) and I love walking by it every day. If you're a LOTR fan, you have to have this.

I am a huge LOTR fan and this is my 1st lego set. I loved putting it together and the only small gripe i have is stickers. lego is wealthy enough they should just have the pieces printed on. cant wait for other LOTR sets!

This is so well designed, and easily the most fun I've ever had putting together a LEGO set! Firstly, the tower is huge, doing justice to what a set of Barad-dûr should be! It's also full of entertaining details, of which my personal favourite is the menu with just a picture of meat, because "meat is back on the menu" I didn't buy the kit at initial release due to early reviews complaining about missing parts, but I didn't experience any issues with this.
Really awesome set for any Lord of The Rings fan!

When I got this set for Christmas last year, I was a little bit scared because I have never built a set this big before, but with the instructions being separated into 3 different books and easy to follow along with pictures, this made the set very fun to build and rewarding. The attention to detail in this set is immaculate and has many easter eggs that fans will get a chuckle out of. On top of this set being absolutely breathtaking, it is very easy to transport because you can slide off each of the levels for easier movement and play. All and all a really fun set to add to your collection!

This has been an absolute joy to build. The design and the features are just amazing. The attention to the details is exceptional. Whilst it is an expensive set - but that's Lego - I have taken 3 weekends to build this, spinning it out as I have enjoyed every single moment. Even the bits where I have had to start over! I am looking forward to getting out the camera and doing some photography with this set.

I enjoyed every second of this build because it is not too tedious and has a lot to offer. It does take a while to build, but it is worth it for such a grand size. I definitely underestimated how big it would actually look when built, and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend for any Lord of the Rings fan.

Meats back on the menu with this set. It's just amazing with no flaws. There is some little blue spots that you can't see unless you look really hard for them. The design is strong, elegant, and mysterious. Can't wait for the next lotr set coming.
One of the best lego sets of all time.

Lego has completely out done themselves! As a huge Lord of the Rings fan, I was thrilled to hear that a new lego set was coming out! The attention to detail is amazing, and the minifigures are all so detailed as well! The interior has so many cool Easter eggs as well! Lego really did well with this one!
Not the best set, but I needed the minifigures

This set isn't movie accurate. The "lava" around the sides looks weird. The interior doesn't make any sense. However, the minifigures are amazing. I thought about buying them on the secondary market, but they were so expensive that I decided to buy the whole set instead. That being said, this set is still really cool, and I'm happy that Lego is making more LOTR sets.
Missing sticker sheet AND parts

Quality control on this set is WAY below the normal lego set. Extremely frustrating. First the sticker sheet was missing, so I ordered a replacement and that took forever to get here but there weren't stickers til late in the build so at least I could start it. But now bag 25 is also missing pieces again (1x6 plate and 2x2) and my bulk lego is in storage so I will have to stop and wait AGAIN. The bag wasn't ripped it just didn't have the pieces. Very atypical for lego but very frustrating.

Barad-dûr is simply amazing. The minifigures, architecture, book and movie references, new molds, and level of detail more than justify the (undeniably high) price tag. It’s just great to get another Middle-Earth masterpiece and can’t wait for Bag End and the Gandalf vs. Balrog book nook to come out. That being said, I was quite disappointed to discover the damage done to this set’s reviews by disgruntled first-day-buyers who failed to get the Fell Beast GWP. While this is certainly an understandable grievance, the absence (or presence) of a GWP holds no bearing over the quality of a set itself. A GWP shouldn’t influence reviews like it most regrettably has for this set. This lego realization of Sauron’s second and third age fortress deserves no less than five golden stars. I mean come on, nearly every minifigure has leg printing - in and of itself a rare occurrence in these price-cutting times. Lego even included Gothmog; an orc who’s never seen near the Dark Tower in the movie. They held back on nothing. Buying this set gets you an orc garrison, an amazing rendering of the Mouth of Sauron with an all new helm mold, Gothmog, Frodo and Sam, Sauron (a minifigure that speaks for itself), and Gollum. You get plenty of weapons, provisions, and chambers encased in the detailed, menacing, and intricate walls of Lugburz. Do yourself a favor and buy Barad-dûr. Do the rest of us Lord of the Rings fans and yourself a favor and leave a five star review. Goodness knows this set earns it.
Wonderful build and experience.

Love this set, the details are amazing. Building it was a blast, nothing overly repetitive as the build itself is mostly asymmetrical. Took me a whole weekend but i was not rushing it or anything. 10/10

I was excited to purchase the Barad Dur, but unfortunately, the experience of building it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped. While the design is interesting, I was disappointed by the size—its only half of the tower. Given the price, it doesn't feel worth it; it's too expensive for the piece you get. It didn’t quite live up to my expectations in terms of scale, value, and overall enjoyment."

The build was fun. But they really need to rearrange some steps. Cause i could barely get my hand into area to place pieces on the inside. Cause they have you build a floor and then put it onto place and end up with a box where my hand would barely fit and I would knock over or break off a piece trying to add the little items to the floor

A friend has lent me this set and omg what an incomparably fantastic building pleasure it is! I knew this is going to be an amazing build but it managed to surprise me in ways I didn't expect. I am a huge fan of volcanoes and lava, and who could have guessed that one could feel the lava flow while building a LEGO set? (ok ok, knowing LEGO, I could have anticipated that). Right from the first bricks, you can feel the love and thought that the set designer has put into their work. It takes hours to assemble but Barad-dûr is split into different levels, so you can easily share this fantastic building experience with a friend. The only downside of the set is that it sets the bar so high for all other LEGO sets, that.. you have no other choice than to find them, to bring them all and in the happiness build them.
