A: Our units feature a 3-stage filtration system, including a high-efficiency carbon filter, to help remove odor particles. The unit cannot differentiate between a "good" or "bad" smell and will try to remove all odor particles from the air.

A: To maintain your filter, we recommend cleaning the pre-filter (outer layer of the filter) using a soft brush or vacuum hose every 2-4 weeks. However, please do not use water or liquid to clean the filter as trapped water particles may result in mold growth or mildew smells. Either way, it is encouraged to change the filters after about 6-8 months of use or at your discretion.

I have a small condo, upstairs unit and the downstairs neighbor cigarette smoke is coming in our condo. I have 6 air purifiers all on the highest settings and this unit DOES NOT REMOVE THE CIGARETTE SMOKE! It is extremely loud on the highest setting. This unit is new. I do not recommend buying this product.

The package was empty of the device when I picked up my order. The filter was in the package but clearly used. How does the fulfillment team make such a big mistake in filling my order, they need to be trained better and not defraud customers of their money.

This thing barely filters the air and doesn't really work on cooking odors. Basically a junk product compared to my 2 Coway air purifiers which are far superior. It's a lot noisier than my Coway units also. By the way, if you purchase this item from Target via Doordash they won't accept a return using a Doordash receipt even though the item was a legit purchase.

I love this so much. I only have one in my room. It has worked perfectly for two years now. Maybe a little longer! The replacement filters last so long. I just vacuum them out every week and they really do the trick. When I step out of my room, I seriously feel a difference! Its so easy to clean, easy to use, and doesn’t look ugly.

We've had this air purifier for 8 months now. It runs continuously on the highest fan speed in our bedroom and we're always surprised by how much dirt in the air this thing picks up! It's gross actually! We enjoy the sound of the fan at night as it creates a nice white noise for sleeping. We originally replaced the filter after just 3 months of use as it was full of dirt and dust on the outside but then realized we can just vacuum the outside of the filter when it gets full and replace the whole filter after 6-8 months of use. We have 2 dogs in the home so that may be the reason ours gets so dirty so quickly? Regardless, we love our Levoit Core 300 Air Purifier and would purchase again! We plan on buying a larger model for use in our living room.

I bought one of these almost a year ago after the AER 1 filters for my then 10 month old purifier became unavailable pretty much everywhere, including Target. I got this one BECAUSE it had multiple claims stating that it was a True HEPA filter, not only on the Target website but on the product box itself. I just bought the filter replacement from the company and now all of those claims are GONE. Levoit says they are “changing their marketing” but didn’t directly answer my question as to whether the claims were still true and what/how much it filtered if the original claims were false. This is SO frustrating because I use it in a stage 4 cancer patient’s room. I would have gladly spent the money on another brand had I known I was probably not getting what I thought I was buying. It did help reduce the dust a lot and is very quiet, so I can rate it well for that, but as far as the pollution/VOCs and viruses that we can’t see, WHO KNOWS? (Probably not even Levoit, honestly.) The product boxes in store STILL have the True HEPA claims, but all the replacement filters they make for the purifier now do NOT. BEWARE!

Got this for my bedroom to remove wildfire smoke. It works great!! It also works great for removing the laundry fabric softener smells that seep in from the downstairs neighbors condo. I am extremely sensitive to smells and put this in my bedroom and a larger one in my living room, it’s been a lifesaver!!!

This air purifier is perfect for small and large rooms alike. The 4 settings make it easy to adjust based on need. My favorite feature is the “lights off” button since I primarily use it in my infant’s room. At the highest speed running nonstop, the filter lasts about 2 months. At the low speed or sleep, the filter lasts closer to 6 months.
