This item works for a few minutes before nothing working. I saw many comments show similar complaints. I did try playing with the puzzle in a well-lit room but it does not work as there is no sound.

Here are a few important details to know about our sound puzzles: They’re light-activated, and once new batteries have been installed, it’s best to use the puzzle in a brightly lit room. When you remove a puzzle piece from the board, you’ll see a little circle, which is the light sensor. Depending on the style, once the sensor has been exposed to light, you’ll hear the sound OR when you place the puzzle piece back on the board. If playing with your puzzle in a well-lit room does not make each piece “sound off” consistently, please reach out to Target directly for resolution with your issue. Be aware this puzzle functions with light/ bright area!! I’m saying this bc all the bad reviews saying it doesn’t work, and there is nothing indicating that in the description or images. The puzzle looks good quality and fun but my 2 yo doesn’t seem very interested, I keep putting it away and re-introducing in toy rotation but she doesn’t seem to be into it. Maybe it’s more fitting for younger kids?

Purchased for a Christmas Present for a friend. I did not open to inspect prior to gifting, spoke to recipient and only a few of the items have sound effects after changing batteries out several times. I will be in touch for an replacement, a lil embarrassed that this occurred especially since I purchased from company directly...

This was the first gift my son opened, of all the puzzles I bought for him, and the sound doesn't work. It came in the "on" position and is apparently, dead. Super disappointing.
