Metabo HPT AC18DAQ4M 18V MultiVolt Lithium-Ion Cordless Caulking Gun (Tool Only)

Working on sealing up a food truck in less than warm conditions. This gun worked like a champ for hours

previously left a one star review now I have the 20 oz sausage style holder set (378712M) I have totally changed my opinion on product. Abby was a great help to me and my coworker get the sausage adapters. It's is by far the most balanced of any battery operated that I have tried. I do caulking for six months straight at times as a union PCC (pointer caulker cleaner). This tool is the perfect tool for anyone who does large amounts of caulking. . I can say my production time will double with no fatigue like a manual gun. It is perfectly balanced even with a 8.0 battery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got for Christmas and I was very excited as shoot at least 10000 lineal feet a year. I use sausages almost exclusively. I could not find any sausage adapter. I contacted customer and was told none available and no ETA on them coming in. Will be returning it's worthless to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have probably run 60 or 72 of Big stretch as we've been air sealing a 4700 ft ICF building. So much better than a typical caulk gun! No more fatigue and my arthritis loves it! Run time is unreal! I have yet to need another battery in a single day. Also the anti drip works as it should. Belt hook is the perfect size as I can hang it on my manlift basket with out worry of dropping it. I would like a sausage tube attachment of it was possible it's the only thing I can think of as it would complete any and all tasks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is amazingly! I work on remodeling house. Used this tool for liquid nails and finishing trim. I am very impressed, when I do molding works, it make smooth tread, less mess and touch up compare with manual caulk gun. I can’t wait to use it on roofing for tar. I tested various speeds on it. 1 is good for molding works and 6 is almost too much for me, speed 4-5 is good for liquid nail works on door and windows.

We end up double fist squeezing the trigger handle until we give out or the tube gives out, either way it's not conducive of a good day at work. When I had the opportunity to try the new 18 volt caulk gun from Metabo HPT I jumped at the chance. PLENTY of power for the toughest to work with materials. A very nice speed select dial coupled with a variable speed trigger and you've got full control of speed and quantity of what you're working with. Ergonomics are great as we've come to expect from metabo HPT. Quick easy removal of the tube cage to access the tool less changeable plunger makes cleaning beyond easy, the extra wide rafter hook and the ability to sit the gun down 'upside' down increases productivity while keeping my hands clean makes this the newest 'go to' tool in my truck from Metabo HPT

We're either double hand squeezing the caulk gun until our grip or the tube gives way. Either outcome isn't conducive to a good day on the job. So when I had the opportunity to test out this 18v multivolt caulk gun from Metabo HPT I jumped at the chance! First impression, this is one BEEFY tool! Extremely well made, you can feel the difference in hand when comparing the quality to the competitors 12v or 20v gun. When using it I wanted to naturally hang it which was never a problem with the extremely wide gap of the rafter hook, and the pull handle on the plunger shaft makes a great hookup well, but after setting it down upside down as intended, i'm a changed man! Sits sturdy and very easy to grab, set down, grab set down etc. Ergonomics are great as we've come to expect from Metabo HPT, multiple speed setting dial as well as variable speed trigger allows total control of the speed and quantity of material.

This caulking gun is extremely efficient at keeping a steady bead all the way through the tube. I used it to seal my tub to my floor and it did it flawlessly! It is also light enough to do overhead caulking like a patio door seam. And the fact it accepts both the 18V and 36V batteries is a HUGE plus

I received this a little over month ago, has worked flawlessly for everything from subfloor glue, to window installation. The speed control let's you dial in with a variety of different caulk, it even has its own built-in in poker stick that is always a pain when they come without!

So I am a carpenter/ contractor I own my own company and I had gotten this metabo hpt 18 v multi volt cordless caulking gun about 4 weeks ago . I will say it’s a very nice tool. It has a 6speed function dial on it. It accepts 18 v or 36 v multi volt batteries which is awsome everybody loves versatility! I love that it came with a belt hook and the best part is if you turn it upside down it has a flat top that allows it to stay up when it’s not in use for quick grab to make your job faster and more efficient. You can purchase a 29 oz tube holder separate to use the bigger 29 oz caulk tubes and a 20 oz sausage tube holder as well ! I highly recommend this tool to anyone who uses metabo hpt power tools ! If you don’t have the metabo hpt 18 v multi volt caulking gun get one and add to your arsenal! I love my team green cordless tools preferably 36 v multi volt tools!!

I started using cordless caulking guns about 9 years ago. Often the sealant or glue we are using is difficult to gun with a hand squeeze caulking gun. Even those with a high thrust ration can be difficult to use when its cold out. This tool gives me variable speed, so for "stiffer" sealant I have the power, but I can dial that back for easier to use sealants like Big Stretch. As I get older in the trades, I find more pain in my fingers (tendons) and this is one more step in reducing that and increasing my longevity.

Has a super versatile variable speed option, which is good for switching between finish work, and subfloor adhesives, the gun also has a feature that automatically takes pressure off of the tube to help keep it from leaking out the front which is nice (I have to do it manually on normal ones) We are a General contractor and do work from frame to finish, this thing has a spot in our every day carry! @coffmanconstruction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty sweet tool! Obviously, it's heavier than a manual caulk gun, but the weight feels evenly distributed. And it isn't terribly heavy anyway, so it's nothing to complain about, really. I used this to Caulk around some window and door trim and I was impressed with it. It is smooth and consistent. The anti-drip function takes a little bit to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it works well - and it's nice not having to worry about making sure you release the plunger when you're done. I can't count the number of times where I've set my caulk gun down, and when I go back to it, there is a pile of caulk or silicone, or worst of all, PL Premium on the floor! I like that I can set the gun down and not have to worry about those things. I definitely think that larger jobs would be where this tool shines, for example: if you have replaced all the windows in a house and are going back to caulk them all, I think that would be great. This would also be a game changer if you were laying subfloor and using PL glue! I think this caulk gun would bring speed and ease to a very tedious, and frustrating part of that job. BUT, with that said, I have used it for smaller jobs as well, and there is no reason why I wouldn't use it for a small job. I think once you get used to it, its cleaner, more consistent, and faster than a manual caulk gun. I am a fan of the fact that the tube holder can be removed, and even swapped for a different size. This makes it easier to clean the plunger thoroughly, and it eliminates the need to have a 16 oz. caulk gun and a 29 oz. caulk gun. I can use one gun for either size and that helps me to keep my truck organized, and it creates room for other tools. I also was glad to see that there is a hook on it. even though it doesn't swivel and rest closely to the tool itself, it isn't cumbersome. it's just a very practical feature that I would use often.I am frequently in situations where I am working off of a ladder or some scaffolding - like if I am caulking some crown moulding throughout a house, etc. - there isn't always a place to lay down the gun, but hanging it is often a practical option.

Metabohpt sent me this caulk gun for review and at first I wasn’t sure a battery powered caulk gun was something I needed. It definitely weights more than a standard caulk gun but metabo hPT did a good job balancing the weight of the gun. Ok with that said I am convinced if caulking is a part of your work you need this gun. After a slight learning curve, the crew said the same thing. We need more of these. It keeps a nice even line of caulk, there’s a speed adjustment which we kept to 2 while we were adjusting to it. When the trigger is released the caulk gun backs off instantly which was nice. In the end we all enjoyed using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The better of cordless caulking guns I’ve used. I like the design and how lightweight it is. The speed settings are a nice added bonus. My one gripe is the anti drip didn’t work well at all . I found in order to get the drip to stop I had to jam the tube forward while hitting the release. Maybe I have a dud? Other than some adjustments on the anti drip I think it’s a great fun.

This caulk gun works great! The automatic pressure release is awesome. My company uses caulk guns for a variety of tasks while we build pole barns and barndominiums. From gluing subfloor and trim to sealing metal roofing and siding and finishing trim in the interior, we really appreciated how the Metabo HPT cordless caulk gun is maneuverable and light. This caulk gun works wonders for the guys that are novices when caulking by allowing them to precisely adjust the speed of the caulk output and releasing pressure immediately after the finger is released from the trigger. Little details, like the ability to hang or set the caulk gun in a variety of positions is amazing. Also, the quick removal of the tube holder is awesome for cleaning or removing a sticky caulk tube. The LED light on the Metabo HPT cordless caulk gun is a very nice feature, allowing you to focus on and apply the caulk evenly and effortlessly. Some of the caulks and adhesives we use are very thick and will tire your hand out very quickly with a traditional, manual caulk gun. This cordless gun easily pushes out the hardest caulks we use on metal roofing and siding with no problem! We are definitely big fans of this cordless caulk gun.

We are a construction company located in Missouri. We used this tool on LP siding, insulation,framing, and trim. This tool is super handy. It takes all of the work off of your wrist. It is very comparable in weight to a regular caulk gun. The 3 amp hour battery allowed us to run over 150 feet and 7 tubes, on medium speed. The different speed settings is very helpful and allows you to adjust quickly.
