Great Video Monitor with Clear Picture and Solid Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using a Vtech video monitor for the past two years, I decided to try out the Motorola VM50G Video Baby Monitor with my toddler. There are several similarities between the two. Both monitors have a microphone to speak to your baby, night vision, temperature display, and can attach multiple cameras. The Motorola even offers more music choices than the Vtech, which is a nice bonus. One standout difference with the Motorola is the picture quality-it's noticeably clearer than the Vtech, although there is a slight delay in the video feed that I didn't experience with the Vtech. Another feature I found useful was the timer for when the monitor turns off. You can set it to turn off after 5, 30, or 60 minutes, which I think would be especially handy for parents of newborns. However, I personally prefer how the Vtech handles video and sound during the night. On the Vtech, the video and audio automatically turns off after about 15 seconds of no loud noise, but will turn back on if there's a sound, like a baby crying. The Motorola, on the other hand, keeps the sound on all the time, which is reassuring for newborn parents but less ideal for those of us with toddlers who don't need constant audio all night. The Motorola's temperature alert could also be improved-it doesn't offer a customizable alert like the Vtech does. Still, with a sleeker handset design and a more economic price point, the Motorola VM50G is an excellent choice for parents looking for a reliable video monitor. It definitely gets the job done for monitoring your baby and providing peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to test out the Motorola vm50g baby monitor camera set with my second baby. I like it being on a closed system where you can immediately see the camera view on the monitor. I like the sound and mic but I don't really use the mic. I used the mic on my first child and it scared her a lot. The bad thing is since it is a closed system, you can only view it on the monitor and other people can't see it on their phones (like my husband at work). The camera resolution and quality on the screen is quite low. Everything looks a bit grainy and hard to tell what is what. You must have the camera up close. The good thing is the infared night light is really invisible unlike other cameras that have a visible red dots that look scary/noticeable to the baby. The biggest problem is for this price point, I was expecting a better camera quality and monitor. For almost the same price I can get better with other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free to leave a honest review. I had an older Motorola baby monitor and WOW have they improved over time! This baby monitor lets you move the camera from the watch pad. Picture is clear even in night mode. It picks up every sound perfectly! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new baby monitor. The display pad has a sleek design with large screen too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The features are simple but great. The quality of the image is not high definition but it's clear and crisp enough to see my child while I'm not in the same room with him. I love the feature where the camera can pan left, right, up and down. It's also neat that it plays sound effects to keep my baby sleeping. He needs background noise to keep him from waking so that's a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are some highlights and some disappointments from this baby monitor. Has a nice handheld screen that you can see video, although not the highest quality, move the camera angle and even talk and hear through, all great benefits. Easy to set up and connect as you just turn them both on and they the camera automatically connects to the monitor so great to have if no wifi and not trusting of using a public wifi or anything along those lines. Also no need for an account so no worries about someone breaking into an account. Downfalls would be no option to have an app use and the quality of the video. Would definitely recommend as a travel monitor or as a back-up in your home for a babysitter/grandparent etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Motorola VM50G Baby Monitor has been a reliable and user-friendly tool for keeping an eye on my little one. The 5" screen provides a clear video feed, even in low-light conditions, and the two-way audio is great for soothing my baby from another room. I appreciate the long range and the ability to pan, tilt, and zoom the camera remotely. The setup was simple, and it has given me peace of mind during naps and nighttime. A great monitor for parents looking for both quality and convenience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Keep in child's nursery. It has pretty good Range and the quality and sound of the monitor are great. Love the kickstand on the monitor so I can easily stand it up in a table or near me. It's nice I can move the monitor around the room, this could be useful for an older child when they are in a toddler bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Motorola VM50G baby monitor works well. The image quality is better than I expected. I love that the camera can rotate and does so very quietly without waking up my toddler even when used in the slumber pod. I do wish the monitor had a better battery life. It died on me after about 5-6 hours. I also wish that the screen or sound level lights would turn on when baby makes an noise after the monitor goes to sleep. My monitor did have one random line that would flicker across the image every once in a while. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving this camera! I used to use a wifi enabled one but hated having to rely on my phone. This is perfect for keeping on all night long. The sound and video are clear and the range is great for my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this camera in different rooms. Living room, play room, and their room. I love the fact I can move it side to side and up and down. Also having a mic helps me out a lot. Especially when I am home alone and need to shower it helps me keep an eye on them and them hearing me also keeps them calm. The picture could be better but it still helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already had a monitor that we use upstairs in our bedroom. The Motorola one is so much better! The camera is great and the sound quality is so clear. It took me a little while to figure out how to use the timer, but my 16 year old helped and explained it. Its easy to use and even easier to set up. I love the zoom and the noise options, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a little girl in a crib so it's important that I have a camera on her with a screen to watch! This is exactly what this camera and screen do for me. I like that there's a clear picture, you can turn on the sound and move the camera around. It works well and is a nice safety feature to have for children!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank Motorola for the free Motorola VM50G Video Baby Monitor to test! This monitor has all the functions I would need in a monitor. I can watch my child when he is in his crib and I can even talk to him using the microphone on the monitor. As he rolls all around his crib, the camera eaisly tilts in all directions so I can find him. I really enjoyed the ease of using all the functions under the menu tab. You can adjust the brightness, zoom in/out, and even have a timer for the monitor screen to turn off. I can turn the screen off at night so the light is not in my eyes, but I can still hear him if he cries. I keep the camera plugged in but the monitor keeps a good charge for a few hours. I also like being able to see the temperature in his room to make sure he is comfortable. The only negative I have about the monitor is that when the lights are on in my baby's room, the monitor doesn't switch over to color. I assume it's because it's not bright enough. I did take it into another room and it changed to color.
No worries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an upgrade from the monitor we have been using. It does everything, I mean everything. I can zoom in and out, I can move the camera left to right, and what I love the most is it tells the temperature in the room. I love to workout or work in the yard. I love being able to see when my daughter wakes. I love I can speak to her and tell her I'm coming to get her. It also has a sound machine built in. It does so much more. I received this complimentary for my honest review. I high recommend to new mother, toddler mothers or a caregiver. I would absolutely recommend and purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Motorola baby monitor works pretty well. There's a few things I wish were better, like a better zoom in and out, and moving the camera with the remote. It's not easy to position it the way I like. However, I do like how it works overall, and it fits all my needs in watching my baby on the remote while I'm out of the room. I've taken it around my house and even went outside with it and it's worked great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has many functions to monitor your baby. It has wide angle as well. I feel so much released when I have it with me. It also can detect the noise and movements which help me a lot when I am busy with pumping.
