National Geographic Stunning Component Science Chemistry Set

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He loves these kids and they keep him entertained.

I'm always looking for things to keep my little one busy without relying on screens, so when a recent snowday happened, this item really came in handy. My daughter is 5 and she really loved being able to help perform the experiments and watch the reactions taking place. I would definitely recommend for your curious youngster.

We did three experiments so far and it was okay. Of course to an extremely active and happy six year old child, it’s amazing. It was fun seeing my children (6yo & 15 mths) do something constructive and learn. Best way to get them off the electronics that they can be addicted to. Great for homeschool or an after school activity. You do have to be an active participant (parent) and read the instructions. So this definitely isn’t something you just give the kids and walk away. You need to be there step by step, unless they’re an advanced reader and have enough discipline to do the project step by step. I still believe they would need a parent with them. The images on the box are definitely exaggerated. Haha!

Great family activity to do!! Our son had so much fun doing the experiments and so did we!! It’s easier for our son to learn something new in a fun way and this works out great!! I buy all of National Geographic sets , we do a new experiment every Saturday night.

This National Geographic Stunning Science Chemistry Set is so fun! The set comes with everything needed for over 20 chemistry projects! My 7yo is obsessed with all things science and this set only fuels that excitement and interest. This set helps teach and spreads the fun of science. The set comes with beakers, goggles, gloves, a tray, chemicals, and tools! One of the greatest parts is the directions. The directions are very thorough and easy fir kids to follow as well.

This chemistry set is amazing! It has 10 different experiments- erupt a geyser, launch a rocket, create big fuzzy reactions, build an underwater volcano, and more! They include an experiment tray and safety glasses plus gloves. My son loves science snd blowing up things and loves doing these things with my husband.

The kit is amazing! It was really easy for my 12 year old to do by himself. It was made well and made science even more interesting to him. The kids learn so much while also having a great time. We will definitely be getting the other kits!!

Super fun! My daughter even correctly predicted what would happen if you mixed an acid and a base. I wish the little pouches were resealable, but I just put them in tiny ziplocs. Also, beware of the cabbage powder... good for litmus testing, bad for jeans. Ask me how I know!

I just love these kits! This was my daughter’s first kit and I helped her with the ingredients and instructions for each experiment. But it’s super easy and comes with everything you need plus bonus experiments you can do so the kit lasts longer than I expected it would! Really happy with this purchase especially since my daughter is still virtual schooling due to the pandemic and this is a great way to get extra Science in that’s NOT on a computer screen! I will be buying all of these kits eventually! Worth every penny! Cons: none!

My kids really had fun doing the experiments in this National Geographic Stunning Science Chemistry Set. The material was very engaging and I appreciated the added educational information throughout the booklet. We homeschool so this was an easy way to supplement our eclectic approach to our kids curriculum. They are very hands on and learn best when completely immersed in the subject matter. Having activities like these experiment sets really support their learning and help them retain the information being taught. We used the scientific method mentioned in the booklet and really required our kids to use critical thinking skills throughout the process. All of our kids, ages 1 year through 9 were attentive and engaged the entire time. There are 10 experiments included in the set and another booklet full of additional ideas to do on your own. There are enough materials to do the experiments several times as well. The paper tray provided with the kit is a bit flimsy, but overall it worked well enough to use for the experiments. We generally just use a sheet pan lined with foil anyway for most experiments like this, so it wasn’t a big deal for us. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for a great supplementation to any child’s education.

I love this chemistry set! It is very well made, with great science experiments that makes me kids think , enjoy and love chemistry! The kit is excellent , with great quality, easy explanations , great instructions and it has brought great joy to all of us! We all love it , and I will be definitely be a returning customer, and buy more kits! Excellent product!

This is a great science kit for kids to get started and learn with. It has 20 experiments that are simple enough for them to do but gives them a great thrill when they see the different reactions in chemicals. My 9 year old loved this set and I loved doing it with her. Also comes with all the protective gear so she felt like a real scientist!

Definitely one of the best kits to keep the kiddos busy. Love the steam activities as the the kiddos learn so much and have fun doing them! I rate this a 10/10. I will be buying more kits as they are the absolute best.

The discovery science experiment kit is sufficient and includes the necessary equipment to conduct the experiments. The experiments are simple and straight forward and exhibit the reactions desired. It is enjoyable for little kids, but my 11 year old found it simple and more for younger children. I thought the components felt somewhat cheap and the materials for the experiments weren't very sturdy. Everything worked fine, but I have a hard time seeing this being reused more than once or twice.

My kids (ages 8 and 10) and I enjoyed doing these experiments together. The kit comes with supplies (minus a bottle of soda) to do 10 experiments, and has a second book with 10 additional experiments to do with common household items. While a number of the included experiments described them as explosions, eruptions, geysers, etc, the mess was on the smaller side...great for the mom and the kitchen, a little disappointing for the kids. Only three of the experiments were on the thrilling side. The instructions were clear and the extra science notes were well done. A few things that could be improved: -the mess tray is a coated card-stock, so it's not easy to rinse...it held up for all of our experiments though -the crystals and powders come in envelopes that are not resealable so they are difficult to keep contained Experiments included: Underwater Volcano, The Power of Purple, Rainbow Explosion, Hot and Cold Fizz, Erupt a Geyser, Blow Up a Balloon (two ways), Launch a Rocket, Make a Bag Pop, and Pop Crystal Fireworks Science concepts covered: reactions, acids and bases, pressure, releasing trapped gases Extra suggested experiments: Grow Your Gummy Bears, Make Your Drawing Float, Power a Boat, Scatter Pepper with Your Finger, Bend Water, Make Dancing Ghosts, Coffee Filter Garden, Tie-dye with Permanent Markers, Suspend Objects, and Fill an Upside-down Glass
