Therefore, even the same brand can yield different results depending on where the milk was sourced and the way the milk has been handled. Here are some suggestions: 1. National brands tend to be more consistent than regional milks from farms 2. UHT (Ultra-Heat Treatment) boxed milks tend to yield excellent results; however, it is suggested to immediately put the milk in the fridge so it can get cold 3. Conventional and organic milk work equally well as long as the milk is fresh and cold 4. Fresh milk froths better than milk that is nearing its expiration date 5. Milk that has been frozen will not froth 6. Protein content should be high as protein allows milk to froth. Shaking the milk carton before use can help to evenly distribute the proteins 7. Fat content plays a role only in the consistency of the milk froth: • low fat creates dry, stiff foam • high fat creates wet, silky foam • both are fine, it just depends on preference 8. The Frother is designed for conventional cow’s milk. Other milks such as soy, almond, and coconut can be attempted but there is no guarantee that they will yield results. Additionally, we recommend running a priming cycle through your machine once a week your machine to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. OriginalLine Nespresso capsules denoted as Lungo are recommended to be brewed using the machine's Lungo cup button.
