Although the temperature of our machines cannot be increased manually, here are some tips to get a hotter coffee: — Connect the device to your Wi-Fi and Nespresso Mobile App to get the latest software update. — Use a cup of the size of your preparation. Using a larger cup will cool the mixture faster. — Clean the extraction chamber frequently (once a week). The cleaning will take approximately 5 minutes, and you will find the instructions in your user manual. My husband purchased this thing about 6 weeks ago. It worked ok for 5 weeks and now is completely dead. It worked one day and not the next. The button doesn't light up at all. The manual says that if the light isn't on, the machine isn't on. Really? No **** Sherlock. No explanation as to why it isn't on. I plugged it in to various outlets, made sure it was locked properly, the water jug was full and attached properly, tried different pods (wasted 3 expensive limited edition ones) and nothing. It is going in the garbage. I read some negative reviews by people who had their's die in 6 months to a year. They were lucky. Mine didn't even last 2 months!! Inferior product. The 2 or 3 cups I got out of it didn't even taste that great anyway. The flavoured ones didn't actually have a flavour. They just tasted like burnt regular coffee. Will never buy another nespresso product. 0 stars for me on this thing.

The machine is great, until you need to descale it. I had nothing but issues with descaling this thing. It does not program back to coffee making mode and becomes garbage. I did have it covered under warranty at one point, and it was fixed, lasted another year after the fix and would not get out of descaling mode. Not the only person with this issue, do research before purchasing this is a major issue with these machines. Ended up purchasing a round head nespresso instead.

Makes great coffee but the design is terrible. Placing the water at the back seems like a great idea but in practice it's a nuisance to fill and the water tank itself will leak despite the valve that's meant to prevent it.

mine lasted about 5 years and now its causing some issues. i got a discount buying a next one. I would buy it again. not sure some here had their machines die off as early as in months. but it served me well.. although they could have added more buttons, that'd ease up cleaning and troubleshooting.

I’ve had my Nespresso Vertuo Next for over 2 years. We’ve used it for three people maybe 4-6 cups of coffee a day. It’s easy to set up coming out of the box. Definitely register your new machine with Nespresso. It’s easy to do with Bluetooth. Once your machine is paired online Nespresso can help you solve any problems that may arise. I have had ZERO issues with my machine. There are videos to show you step by step instructions on how to clean your machine and how to descale your machine. I try to keep my machine cleaned weekly by wiping everything down including opening the top and carefully making sure everything is clear of coffee grounds and dried coffee. When we travel we always wish we had brought along our Nespresso because regular coffee just isn’t good anymore. Not even bought coffee from Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Can compare. I wish the coffee was less expensive, but you get what you pay for and we will continue to pay for Nespresso coffee!

I received my machine as a Christmas gift. It was to replace my previous one that died after 2 years. This one is now 18 months old, so no longer under warranty. I woke up today to a solid white light on the button and it no longer works. The button itself does not respond when I push it. When I researched online, this happens with these machines regularly. I have tried all the suggestions and nothing works. I am terribly disappointed, particularly because I have A LOT of pods left that are now useless because I opened the boxes to put the capsules in the drawer.

The coffee is quality and the taste of the coffee from nespresso is top notch, you can make American coffee and expresso. I find that you have to place a little pressure to close the lid (to seal)

The Nespresso Vertuo Next has been a mixed experience. The sleek and compact design fits perfectly on my counter without taking up too much space. The machine is user-friendly, with a simple one-button operation that delivers a good cup of coffee. The variety of coffee sizes, from espresso to large mugs, is a nice feature, and the quality is generally good with a rich crema. The barcode system ensures optimal brewing for each pod, making it convenient. Additionally, the machine heats up quickly, so I never have to wait long for my coffee. However, the machine requires frequent descaling, which can be quite annoying. I've also encountered several malfunctions during the descaling process, which adds to the frustration. Cleanup is otherwise easy, and the used capsule container is simple to empty. Overall, while the Nespresso Vertuo Next offers convenience and decent coffee quality, the frequent descaling and occasional malfunctions make it a 3-star product for me.

I will start off by saying I love my Nespresso coffee and have for nearly a decade now, however, coffee aside my negativity towards Nespresso is due to the awful quality of the Next. I have gone through 3-4 of these in the past 4 years, some of which rather conveniently failed just outside of the warranty period. My current unit lasted the longest at about 2 years but now that it has stopped working again I am left with a sour taste in my mouth once again, as I frequently replace the coffee-making machine. It would be nice if Nespresso put the same quality and care into their machines as they do in their coffee. Unfortunately, there is no manufacturing alternative, so I am stuck with buying these junk machines repeatedly, this being at least the 4th time now, and it is likely the last time I consider buying another one of these. For context, I make 2 coffees daily and clean + descale twice a year.

A disaster, in so many ways. Harley-Davidson loud. Used pod compartment makes a gross mess each time the pods are dumped. You have to bring the trash to the machine to avoid staining your floors. Machine needs to be reset, constantly. I've had it for about three years and I've had to reset it about 50 times. And today it finally broke down by leaking coffee all over the counter instead of pouring into the cup. My other vertuo machine has none of these problems. It works quietly, seamlessly, without the need for restarts. Opt for any of the others instead. Avoid the Next.

So narrow it fits in my kitchen without overcrowding. It looks updated, much better than an old fashioned coffee maker. Brews up a terrific cup of coffee very quickly.

Stay far away from this machine. All the horrible reviews are right. Nespresso is obviously aware of the issues and not doing anything about it. My machine constantly blinks at me, won’t brew without going through a whole cleaning cycle first. Sometimes I can get it going if I do a sequence of unplugging, opening the lid, spinning the top capsule puncture thing, closing again, restarting etc. Customer service insists on “troubleshooting” which results in a successful brew in the end but the next day it happens all over again. I’ve had the Vertuo Round head in the past and zero issues with that one. This one is a lemon. Stay far away.
