Description

Philips Avent Natural bottle with the Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. The Natural bottle is made from polypropylene, a BPA free material, and works with all nipples and caps from the Natural line. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. Includes: 1 4oz Natural bottle with Natural Response nipple flow 2. SCY900/91

What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:

-It's totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.

-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

    Bottle top does not lock!!!

Bottle top does not lock on glass bottles and leaks. Baby has dropped milk on her clothes several times, very dissatisfied since day one of use and would not recommend. I’ve tried replacing the tops and it is the bottle itself. Waste of money.

Hi there, We are sorry to hear that you are facing leakage issue with your Philips Avent Baby Bottle. We would like to let you know that the incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring, and it is suitably tightened on the bottle without being over tight. Wet glass bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. You may also follow this link for more information about how to avoid leakage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d19uSYc23E. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We have been trying to use these bottles for 2 weeks now, and it is more painful than changing diapers. Our baby will suck for 20 minutes and not a single drop comes out, even with the vents matching up. I wouldn’t recommend these bottles to anyone and have officially thrown our entire sets of these bottles in the trash.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. This is not the experience we wish you to have with the Philips Avent Natural Response Baby Bottle. We recommend trying a nipple with a higher flow rate, as some babies may be accustomed to bottles where milk flows more easily. However, it's important to note that our natural nipples are designed to mimic the experience of breastfeeding, where babies need to exert some effort to extract milk. My newborn LOVES this bottle! We had the nanobebe ones and she got so much air trapped in her little tummy, I was worried she’d start to dislike being bottle fed, she cried so much. It’s like night and day between our old bottles and these. I’m only using these from now on!

Hi Bherb, Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear that there is less flow through your Philips Avent nipple. We would like to inform you that we have introduced a new set of nipples, which is our Natural Response Nipple. If your baby is already used to the previous Natural nipple, or even another traditional bottle, they may need a higher nipple flow in the Natural Response Nipple because they are used to milk flowing quickly with less effort. If you’ve tried a few times with no success, it could be a sign that your baby needs another nipple flow. If your baby is coming from a traditional bottle (including our previous Natural bottle range) they are likely to need higher nipple flows with the Natural Response nipple because they are used to more milk coming out of the nipple with little effort on their part. Also, make sure the drinking hole and air valve are not blocked. We designed the nipple range to work for all different drinking patterns, from fast and enthusiastic to slow and steady. The Natural Response Nipple is available in nipple flows 1 to 5. We hope this makes your experience better. If not, please reach out to us via social media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. The cap on this bottle is rediculous!

I do like the bottle. The level 1 nipple in Avent has a faster flow than other brands, but once my baby is old enough, say two-month-olds, he is able to use the Avent level 1 nipple. The bottle is very comfortable to hold. Despite the small size, it can hold a lot of milk, making nighttime feeding a dream, ONLY if I don't put the cap on. My Avent bottle came in a gift bag from Toysrus, so I'm not sure if the bottle is defective or if it is just a design flaw. The cap is unrealistically and ridiculously hard to get off. Sometimes it required two people to open it. It is such a pain to open the bottle if the cap is on. Most of the time, I just put the cap loosely on top to prevent dust without clicking it on. Please Please Please check the design of the cap. It is really so so hard to get off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tentative about immediately using bottles on my third child, but with the craziness of having two other kids in school I had to. I've previously used Avent bottles with my other two and had great experiences, but with a 3 day old child it has been such an easy transition from breast to bottle and back. There is no nipple confusion and he immediately took to the nipple. There are no crazy parts to mess with like other brands, and they are simple and easy to use and clean. They also seem to reduce the amount of air my son intakes during feeds, so I'm not seeing any issues with gas or colic. I would definitely recommend this bottle and continue to purchase the larger ounce sizes for my child! I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time mom trying to EBF I was struggling as my baby has a tongue & lip tie. He struggled to properly latch leaving us both frustrated and helpless. Finally I gave in and began introducing bottles. I found that many nipples were too quick for him or he disliked the shape. Thankfully I received a set of Avent bottlesas part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. From the very first use my baby was in LOVE and I could finally breathe. This nipple was slow enough and mimicked my breast enough for him to comfortably eat. He was able to pause to swallow and breathe without the nipple leaking causing him to cough and me to stress. My newborn easily adjusted to the size 2 nipple at just two weeks old. I’m he flow was perfect for him! We began with size 1 but found that it was a tad too slow for him. I also loved the convenience of the wide shape in my hand during feedings. It feels very natural and comfortable. The bottle is also very easy to clean! Thankfully it has minimal parts making it quick and painless. I am so thankful for this bottle and nipple!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so thankful we received this product to test through Stellar Product Testing Panel! I have been struggling to find a bottle that my four month old is successful with. He was able to easily latch onto this nipple on the first try. He takes a bottle while I am at work and easily goes back to nursing when I get home. The nipple shape seems to encourage a deep latch, and he is able to pause and take breaks as needed, just like when he is at breast. These bottles are so easy to assemble and clean, and they are the perfect size. They also happen to fit my pump flanges so I can pump directly into them to prep bottles. We are loving the Phillips Avent Natural bottle!

I loved the shape of the nipple because it imitates the breast and the bottle shape is easy to hold and comfortable to have in your hand. The no-drip tip is the best because it does not waste precious breast milk. The nipples come in different flow rates, so you are able to pick the flow that works best for your baby. I love that you are able to find the nipple brand at local and convenient stores if you need to buy more. The bottles were very easy to assemble and clean. Overall, this was a great bottle and we would recommend this set to anyone looking to buy top notch nipple/bottle sets!

    Best Bottle Out there

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to Stellar Panel for providing me with this product to review. This is by far my favorite bottle system out there, and I have tried a lot. Switching from breast to bottle and bottle to breast was extremely easy for my little one. We had no issues with trying to figure out how how to drink from the new nipple at all. Probably my favorite feature was the No-drop tip, which I have to say was the bane of my existence before leaning about the Philips Avent Natural system. Prior to using Philips we would have to do a clothes change every feeding because so much milk/formula would end up getting every where. With the no drip tip that issue was solved. My little one is easily able to control the flow of milk from the nipple but we did have to move her up to flow 2 for night feeds and flow 3 for day feeds. During the day she would get agitated with flow 1 because there wasn’t enough flow. Flow three seemed to be the sweet spot for keeping her happy, and also keeping our feeding times down below 20 minutes. Cleaning and assembling the bottles is a breeze. There are 3 components and a cap. They all fit together well and it is easy to tell if everything is assembled correctly, leaving me without having to be worried about drips or spills because something wasn’t put on right. Overall this is my favorite bottle ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble bottle and nipple parts, easy to clean thanks to the eye bottle opening which facilitates new parents' life! Baby loved the slow flow and was easy to hold with tiny hands. The no drip nipple also guarantees no mess and no loss of precious breast milk when bottle is dropped .... Also less cleaning! Easier bottle to leave with other caregivers as the nipple only had two parts and can be used without prior knowledge on "how to" assemble. Faster to put together as well when baby is hungry! We loved it so much we got an Advent Philips kit as a baby shower gift for a new mommy! We received a bottle for Stellar Reviews and really liked them! I'd only wish the bottles would be compatible with breast pumps to avoid transfers of breast milk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My primarily breastfed daughter is 3 months old now and I pump bottles for her every other day so she can be used to bottle. This bottle has a nice wide nipple and easily graspable ridges to it. The pieces are easy to clean and assemble as well. I particularly enjoy that the nipple doesn’t leak because I often misplace the cap! My girl didn't have any nipple confusion with these bottles and easily drank the whole bottle with minimal burps and gas. I received this item as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby bottle set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The bottles came in a box that was labeled 0+. My daughter is 5 months. It’s confusing as I wasn’t sure if these were the right size bottles for her since avente also offers 1-3 and 3-6. Does 0+ just mean 0-1? I wish they could have labeled it accordingly. The nipple flow was too slow for my daughter given she’s now use to nipples with three holes. But two stars because of the shape of the bottle. Very easy to hold (for me and baby). Also easy to clean and sanitize.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for the right bottle for a baby who needs to control how they are feeding, you have to try these bottles! I received these as part of the stellar product testing panel and used them with my second baby who needed more control on the flow during bottle feedings. Before we started using the natural response nipples, we noticed that she constantly had formula spilling out of mouth, indicating that they were dripping without her drinking. These are a game changer! She was able to slow down, and eat at her own pace and take in less air, which always means less gas and a happier baby! She was also able to get better at drinking the bottle with the wide shape of the nipple. We will make adjustments to the nipple flow as she gets older and drinks more ounces per feeding. Also, if you feel like you are cleaning bottles all day, this shape and ease of the three pieces makes it much easier and quicker to clean than more narrow bottle styles! Enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to be gifted this set of Avent natural baby bottle set from Stellar Product Testing Panel. Avent natural bottles have been a favorite of my first son 3 years ago, and now my 2 month old son. As a mom, I love how easy the bottles are to take on the go, they don’t leak, they’re easy to use and clean, and don’t have a ton a parts like some of the bottles do. I have noticed I have to size up on the nipple sizes more than I do with some bottles, so haven’t used many of the smaller sized nipples, but we still love the bottles. I love that there is a way to get excess air out of the bottles to make my son less gassy. Highly recommend these bottles, and just knowing that you may need to size up more quickly with the nipples so the baby doesn’t get frustrated at the bottle.

It was very easy to use and clean. The small bottle shape is a perfect size and really comfortable to hold. The size 2 and flow of the nipple also worked great for her age of 4 months. I breast feed majority of the time and use bottles a few times a week usually. She immediately took to this natural response nipple and had no issues during feedings. I loved that it was seamless to transition to breast to this bottle nipple. I will continue to use with different flow rates as she grows!

I was impressed with the shape and size of the bottle as it reminded me of the Comotomo bottle I used with my daughter. I love the wide mouth and I like it is easier to hold on to than Comotomo. The nipple of the bottle looks similar to natural shape and my 1 month old baby who is primarily breastfed was able to drink from this bottle easily. It came at a good pace where he didn’t have spit up or seemed to be too fast flow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy for my little one to switch between bottle and breast with this bottle. The nipple's wide shape was good, along with the no-drip tip worked for the baby but my 2-month-old little one was unable to control the pace of milk flow during feeding as she still is on the Philips Avent Anti-Colic 0, so if there were a flow rate 0 for this nipple available, I would get it. The bottles were very easy to assemble and clean with a bottle brush and doesn't leak unexpectedly, which I struggled with for the Philips Avent Anti-Colic ones. I could hold it without being even more tired along with my little one trying to hold it herself. I wish I had known there was an option for this bottle to also have a higher volume as my little one is now feeding at exactly 4 oz and often wants more. I recommend trying this first for a newborn rather than the anti-colic ones. I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel
