Similac Pro-Total Comfort Non-GMO Powder Infant Formula

After using this formula for several months, I can say that this was the best choice for our baby. We had tried some of the other Similac formulas, and they would cause him to spit up often enough that we sought out something that might be a bit more gentle for his tummy. Clumping is definitely an issue but a super easy fix - we bought a milk frothing wand and placed it on the bottom of the bottle and mixed for a few seconds. Whala! No clumps!

My baby was given this in the hospital when she was delivered. Since being on it, she has not a single issue! She eats it well and she poops/pees well. Nothing bad to say about it!

This formula smells awful; just like dog food! It smells worse when you mix it with the water. It made me cringe when my baby spit up and smelt of dog food as well. Thought my baby was showing signs of a milk intolerance so tried switching to this formula for the partially hydrolyzed protein but seemed to make the spit up worse.

Clumps in bottle. Does not dissolve all the way. No matter how much I shake, clumps won’t go away.

Switched to this after being on pure bliss since that one made my baby constipated gassy and fussy ..so far no complaints except that even if the water is warm, it still leaves clumps in the bottle and when you shake it to release the clumps, it gets very frothy ..

My grandson took to this Similac when switching from nursing. This help calm my daughter in knowing that she was still able to bond with him while bottle feeding. He is handling this product so well with hardly any spit up but he does like to toot! Happy baby= Happy Daughter!

Our baby has been on this formula since 2 weeks old and he is 7 months now. Happiest baby ever! This formula works well with him and he doesn’t seem in pain when pooping. It is gentle on his belly. PSA: MAKE a pitcher of the formula ahead of time to avoid the clumps and foam and you won’t have that issue anymore.

I don't like that it has a dog food smell to it. And my breastfeeding baby only drinked it once and then never. She fights it so much.

Something you guys probably don’t know is the reason it clumps up is because it’s more iron than the other brands so yes you will have to mix throughly. ngl I went from the blue can to this one because my baby wasn’t popping and at first I saw the clumps and thought it was something else and got scared then realizing what it was I wasn’t as scared. 1: this product is more of a prep bottle. You will have to make a few bottles and let them sit to dissolve the last bit of clumps at the bottom of your bottle x which could be inconvenient for some people depending on situation. 2: if you have to make a bottle asap shake that bottle as much as you can YES it will foam up!! But the key to dissolve that foaming texture and the gas bubbles that make your baby so fussy is to swirl the bottle around to get grid of the foam on top. And it starts looking more and more like just milk. Personal Review: For my baby personally it has helped him be able to poop so much better. He was first solely breastfeeding but wasn’t popping as much (which is normal because it’s nothing but nutritious milk) however when he did poop he was in pain so we moved from breastfeeding to formula. This one worked super good. He pooped TWO days in a roll and no crying. However like maybe people have said not all babies are the same but remember to try to use those tricks and it might help. Also if your baby is solely on breastfeeding and your trying to switch give them 2oz of the formula and wait until they drink all of it. We had to wing my baby off breast milk that way. Try to feed him and if he rejects it wait a few minutes until he shows hunger signs to try again. For me it took less than a day maybe 2 sometimes for other people it’s a little longer.

Don’t listen to the “Do NOT buy” comments. Every single baby is different, this works great for us. Only downside is if the water isn’t warm enough or made ahead of time the formula is a little clumpy. Personally, I’ll take that over an unhappy colic baby!

Not sure what the hate is all about but my baby has no issues with this formula whatsoever, she is also on a higher calorie at 22kcal because she has open heart surgery at 8 days old. She is not fussy/gassy and is growing beautifully and strong (3 months now)! I agree about the comments that it tends to clump but that doesn’t bother us at all.

My 6 week old has been drinking this since he came home from the hospital, while on total comfort he’s been SOOO gassy and sometimes fussy, poops are just awful and made him super constipated. I know all babies are different but this one wasn’t for us. We’re now on enfamil neuro pro gentle ease and it’s helped a lot!

Baby has been on this formula for 3-1/2 weeks and she is SO gassy and fussy! The poops are terrible, if she can manage to poop at all! We have tried using Dr. Brown’s formula mixer with this formula because there are so many bubbles — our pediatrician recommended Enfamil nutrimigan, so going with that instead…hopeful it will give my 4 week old some relief!

This formula is less sweeter than other formulas and has a slight bitter taste because it’s partially hydrolyzed. However, it works well for babies who are sensitive to standard infant formula and have digestion issues. People complain about the clumps but pre-making the formula and using it within the recommended time frame really helps with gas and burps! Also, the first 2-3days my baby was gassier than usual but after the adjustment she was in such a better mood overall! If you give the formula some time and pre make your formula and let the bubbles settle, this formula is the best for sensitive babies !! Love it ! Although I do wish they used better ingredients than maltodextrin and sucrose… but overall it’s a good formula.

This isn’t about the formula, but rather how target ships it. Target does not properly or carefully package formula and TWICE I have received broken containers that I cannot use and have been told I need to return to store to get a refund. Horrible!!

It’s formula and feeds your baby so if you like, then I’m happy it works for you. It wasn’t our favorite. It clumped more and the excessive mixing caused it to foam more. It also smelled more than Enfamil Gentlease. It is better than the off-brand though.

My baby did not like this formula at all. We start off by fixing 2oz and he didn’t even drink an ounce, went to burp him after the little he did drink and he spat it right back up. He’s exclusively breastfed, and we have been trying to find a formula that he will take, so that we can supplement. Similac has been proven to be one of the best but This did not work for us and had to return it. Not all babies are the same so I would recommend it still.

Made my baby the CRANKIEST she has ever been. Terrible pain--back arching, very difficult to settle, refusing the bottle. Made her constipated and had massive dark green poops when she did. Doesn't dissolve.
