I’ve had this for about 8 months and 2-3 months ago the filters started filtering much slower once they’d been in for a month. Previously I had the smaller PUR filter for about 2 years and never had this issue. Don’t think the issue is with the filters since we’ve replaced the filters 3x and this keeps happening. Unfortunate that this is essentially no longer working after such a short time.

I’m very disappointed with PUR water filters. Over the past month, I’ve gone through three filters, and all of them stopped working properly by the third day. On the first day, filtration worked great — it took around 15 minutes to filter a full pitcher. But by the second day, the process started slowing down noticeably, and by the third day, water was coming through in slow drips, sometimes just one or two at a time. I contacted PUR support, and they kindly sent me a third filter for free (the first came with the pitcher, and I bought the second myself). Unfortunately, the third filter had the exact same issue — it started failing on day two or three. The company suggested I remove the filter and shake it or try other methods, but that didn’t help. I don’t think a customer should have to start shaking a brand-new filter just a day after installing it. Right now, it takes several hours to filter a single pitcher of water. I followed all the instructions — I soaked the filter, held it underwater, and installed it properly. I have no idea why I had bad luck three times in a row unless PUR released a batch of faulty filters and decided not to admit it. I will be buying a filter from a different brand. I don’t want to waste more money on PUR, hoping I’ll get one that actually works. If PUR thinks this review is unfair, they’re welcome to check the email correspondence with me — I even recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube to show the issue. They never bothered to watch it. On March 11, the manufacturer sent me the new, third filter I mentioned. I received it around March 20, and now it’s March 30 — the filter replacement indicator on the pitcher is already orange, as if the filter needs to be changed. How is that even possible? Anyway, I hope others have better luck than I did. If you want to see it with your own eyes, go to YouTube and search for “Pur+filter,” then filter the results by most recently uploaded. You’ll find two short videos I posted. The first part was recorded a few days after I bought the pitcher with the first filter, and the second part was recorded just now, ten days after installing the third filter. But as I mentioned earlier, it already started performing poorly on the second day.

Two years ago I was excited to buy this pitcher with a filter that would remove mercury & diminish lead in my water. Unfortunately, I have found that it usually leaks when I pour from it. It helps to hold the pitcher high above the glass I'm pouring into, but still I'm often having to wipe down the counter. Yesterday I accidentally knocked it against something metal, & the top of the handle broke off the body. So frustrating. I'm going to try a smaller pitcher, hoping that it's better designed.

I’ve bought this 2 separate times and both times it just stops filtering water and the water won’t drop down into the pitcher itself. Also this is very small, FYI.

I got this pitcher about 1 month ago, and for the most part it was a positive experience - filtered the water quickly, taste was good. I washed it and put it together no problem, but the issue came when I tried to take it apart again to wash it weekly. The blue insert that goes into the larger plastic pitcher was extremely difficult to remove. I was able to get it apart but it took a lot of effort. Every time I've washed since then (2 times), I continued to have the same problem. Today, less than one month after purchasing, it finally gave up. I always am gentle and slow when trying to remove it, but the piece is so difficult to remove that it completely cracked the plastic on the pitcher, so now the entire thing is unusable. I don't think I will buy new one, but I have a bunch of filters left to use and don't really know what to do with them. Frustrated at the waste of money and plastic.

I love that there is a two in one faster filtration which reduces chlorine and the water actually has a really nice and crisp taste to it. The design is sleek and is easy to store in the refrigerator or even having room temperature water.

There is an overflow hole at the top of the handle that leaks when there is any water still in the top portion. Overall, we enjoy using it, and the filter quality is great, but it could use a few design adjustments.

I haven’t used the pitcher yet but I don’t like that the product details state it comes with a filter when mine did not have a filter. I now cannot use the pitcher until I go back to target and buy a filter separately. Would have been nice to know.

I have a TDS reader. The level of toxins before and after the water filtering was the same. Buyer beware! Don’t assume because a filter is installed that it’s filtering the toxins. Will be returning.

Let me start by saying that this is a good pitcher. My issue is with Target shipping department. I recommend this picture just don't have it shipped. I ordered 10 of the PUR 11 Cup water filter pitchers for work. 2 of the filters were shipped seperately from the other 8. The box the 8 came in was delivered in bad condition. See the pics (I took pics of the box because of the way it arrived). Then when I opened the box there were only 7 filters inside.

The PUR Water Filter Pitcher worked well for our needs, but unfortunately, the plastic clip holding the sensor on the lid broke after just six months of use. From the start, removing and reattaching the sensor was frustrating and detracted from an otherwise excellent product. To make matters worse, there’s no option to purchase a replacement lid, rendering the entire pitcher unusable. It’s disappointing to see such waste from what could have been a great product.

Inserting filter was straightforward but I found removing the cap to wash the filter receptacle to be a little thought at times. I also felt the flip to round opening (where your refill water through) was slightly small but not a show stopper. Filtered water tasted good.

It holds enough to last us a whole day and it makes and night and day difference in the taste of the water. It fits perfectly in the fridge and takes up less room then the water bottles. It is pretty big, it barely fit in the side compartment of our fridge, but this means it doesn’t need to be refilled as often. I really like that it tells you the status of the filter after every pour!! Lastly, my mom started using it for her morning coffee and she stated that there is a distinct difference in the taste/quality of her coffee when using the filtered vs tap water; the filtered tasting “fresher”.
