Q: The new Pur filter was installed today. The water ran through the filter very quickly. So fast that I question that any filtration took place. The water tastes like tap water. Is the filter working?

These were GREAT before the pandemic. Then, they were terrible. Would work for a few days and then seize up with no fixing them. I still cant believe Pur had the nerve to keep selling them. Well they're better now. Sort of. They still freeze up, especially if i let the water level get below the last pre-filter water entry holes. BUT they are redeemable. If you take them out and give them a couple shakes so u hear the "gravel" inside move they work again. Im not sure they filter *quite* as well as they did pre-pandemic, but definitely still the best filtering pitcher filter Ive used.

This filter has granulated activated carbon which truly cleans water. The installation process is easy. Make sure to soak it in water for 15 minutes before using for the first time.

I was shocked. It is so easy to pop into the filter into place. The indicator on the top of the pitcher tells you when to change it. Highly recommend!!

Installation of the filter is easy line up the knotche's and twist together tightly. The green light indicator on top of the water dispenser will light up green letting you know your filter is ok to keep using.

The water did taste noticeably better. However, I will not be repurchasing this filter or continuing to use the pitcher. It’s just horribly designed and there are way better options available.
