This Penguin Ear thermometer has been a great solution for that - I tell him to listen really closely because the Penguin is going to tell him a secret. Haha - works every time. He keeps saying "I can't hear the secret!" and I say "listen closely!" Meanwhile, he sits still long enough for me to get an accurate temperature reading. It's intuitive and easy to use - highly recommend.

The Penguin design is very cute and can be easily cleaned after use. This can also be used on all ages. I used it on myself first to test out and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. Having to get your temperature checked can be stressful for our little ones, especially when they aren’t feeling very well, and this penguin ear thermometer can make getting your temperature checked a little bit more tolerable and fun. It’s also so quick and simple to use which is key when trying to get a temperature checked on a little one. I also like that it comes with the batteries already included, so you don’t have to find some extras, and they probably last a while since you most likely won’t use your thermometer every day. The thermometer even comes with a removable cap that will keep the temperature gage covered and clean. I used this on my 4 year old and she thought it was so cute, and even tested it out on me! Overall, I love the design and the functionality of this thermometer, and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to purchase one for a small child or children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cute thermometer but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for new babies as the tip is a bit thicker for tiny ears so I deducted a star but it works awesome for my 12 year old! You only have to tap the button once to get a reading. The instructions show that you can add other family members as well although we haven’t tried that yet but will once my new little one gets a little older.

Works well I used a traditional under tongue thermometer to test the readings & it was accurate. It stands up on its feet so we have it in the bathroom on the shelf on display with other items. Holds the last 10 readings in case you ever need to go back & check the history. I also love the smiley face for no temperature & frown face for temperature, very nice added touch.
