Q: Are these supposed to be leak-proof? The lids don't seem to be very tight-fitting.

A: They are perfect for freezing meals, allowing a little air exchange.
submitted bybing - 4 months agoA: You are right: They are not leak proof. Pyrex has other containers with locking lids (flaps on each side) that might be leak proof. These are more for storing food in the fridge.

A: hi. I would NOT put these in an oven. The directions that come with the package state not to do so.
submitted bycccccc - 1 year agoA: Not really. Read the paperwork with them.. microwave is ok but even that.. I just use them for portioning and freezing meals (they are perfect for that!!), thaw in the fridge, and transfer food to a more sturdy microwave safe dish.

A: Thaw overnight in the fridge, sometimes it takes a couple nights to unfreeze.

A: I stack them with the lids off. They nest about 3/4” and do not stick. The lids are stored together on edge.

A: Thanks for the question, Suzanne! We advise against nesting Pyrex products of the same size without the lids, as they could get stuck. However, these containers are stackable with the lids on!

These are a great size and fit easily in a lunch box but I ran them through the dishwasher one time and a piece had broken off of one of them. The only thing next to it in the dishwasher was a small plastic container so there is no reason it should have broken.

I bought these to use for meal prep and I am really disappointed. The lids are cheap and don’t fit properly and two of the rims of the containers are already chipped. I just took them out to wash them and they’re going back into the package to be returned. This is disappointing coming from Pyrex. They used to make really nice glass products but lately it seems as though it’s all gone downhill. I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone.

As I move away from plastic containers, these are great. A great size for leftovers and then can reheat right in them. Only problem is the plastic lids but better than putting hot food in a plastic container.

I color code and prep my meat for the week in these. Great size and perfect for a meat and a veggie but less room than a premade factor meal but you can fit more food than they give you in these. ( simple to heat and eat in the glass) I also use these for single serve leftovers. Easy to take with as well.

The lids do not seal at all, so be mindful of your intended use if purchasing. They are fine if you’re just storing food in the fridge and don’t need to transport it, but they become a leaky mess and require plastic wrap reinforcement if transporting.

I don’t understand these issues. I own the pastel lids set. I got it as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it! My lids fit fine and the trays are flush. It is glass and might be a little “wobbly” but mine are not. Someone said the quality of the bowl is irrelevant that it is supposed to seal tightly- Pyrex is a glassware brand. That’s what you are buying a Pyrex dish but they included the lid. There are other seal tight, leakproof containers to buy but you buy this for the glass.

I have these with a cream color lid and they look cute, but like everyone said, the lids DONT close tight. You can flick them and they start to pop up. I thought these would be quality because of the Pyrex brand and I bought 3 sets, but unfortunately they are all going back. Maybe if you work from home and meal prep they’d be okay, but even then, not having the containers be airtight might cause your food to spoil sooner. Don’t recommend.

As others have stated the lids don't fit. This causes leaks and food to not stay fresh. The quality of the tray isn't relevant. The product doesn't work at all. Huge waste of money. Huge L for Pyrex. Won't shop with them again
