At first I didn’t like it at all. But then I realized it come prepared with the polishing head. I confused it with the newborn file head and so of course as a polisher it was not filing anything. That’s on me. Make sure you change the file head!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby nail file. I want to start off by saying I had received another version of this tool for my baby shower and have been using twice a week for the last 6 months. Once I started using this safety first nail file I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was working. It was a smooth ride the entire time. I love how quiet it is. I can file my twins nails while they are asleep and the light is just the right brightness. I can use it during in a dimly lite room. One of my favorite this is all the extra file heads that come with it. No need to wait for the extra pads to come in the mail. It did take a minute or two to get use to the different design but it proved to be much more comfortable. I highly recommend this product as an easier way.

This nail file is pretty handy. I like that this comes with 5 different file grit types so it can be used from birth to adulthood. It did take me a few tries to find the right angle and pressure to get a good uninterrupted file on my babies nails but even when it was bouncing off a bit it still was gentle and did not cause any discomfort. The device itself is easy and comfortable to hold. My favorite thing about this is that it creates smooth edges unlike a clipper (bye bye baby claws!) The one thing that would make this better is if the file pads clipped off instead of having a sticky back or if it came with 3 file heads. If you have multiple children it would be nice to have them all in the kit ready to go instead of pulling of a sticky head that may not be ready to toss yet. Thank you to the Stellar Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to try this product.

Why can't it have always been this easy !

Wow! So easy that is the first thing I thought when I got this safety 1st electric nail file from stellar panel reviews for free to test out . It's very easy to use and comes with a battery that helps so much cause I always forget batteries . I have 5 kids from 1 to 7 and tried it on all of them there is a pad for every age group and even polishing pads . My one year old was actually asleep and I saw the pic on the pack and thought I'm gonna try it she never even woke up lol . But seriously trimming nails is not my strong point they always have a little hang nail or I can't make them look good . With the safety first electric nail file it was a absolute breeze and yes I even used the adult pad on my self it has plenty of power and a light which is super helpful . I'm telling you get one and you will not regret it. It has a awesome little case so no worries about losing the little heads . It's pretty comfortable in your hand the instructions are very clear and anyone can understand them . I'm telling you like 2 mins out of the pack the battery was on and I was grinding down nails and I don't mean like harsh grinding like a sander it was very gentle you almost can't tell it's doing anything I mean a sleeping one year old who is very particular stayed asleep and never knew what was happening lol but yes I would absolutely recommend and have to my family and friends . I honestly wish triming nails had always been this easy no more fussing and fighting with them and with the little light and the shape you can get them interested to try it out with out the ouch !

I was given this baby nail file to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I can't believe how much easier it is to use this nail file than it is to use those tiny nail clippers. This file is battery powered and it comes with one AAA battery. It took almost no time to get my daughter's nails trimmed to the perfect length. There are no worries about nipping my baby's skin like there are with nail clippers. I used this product on my 5-year-old as well, and he said it tickled and that he'd rather use it than clippers. I tried the file on myself with the adult file attachment and decided that it would take too long to file my nails this way, so for myself, I'll continue using my regular board nail files. The case holds everything neatly, and the file is easy to hold. I love that there are two different speeds and a light to help you see, which was my favorite feature. The product comes with detachable heads and extra files for all ages. Overall, I'm in love with this product; I'll be using it weekly for both of my kids.

What a creative concept. I reviewed this from Stellar Product Testing Panel, We tried the nail trimmer this evening. I was successful on about 3 nails total. It's hard to keep the baby from not touching the device or pulling away. If it had a stronger motor it would be more effective. It was slowing down and stopping often.

Mainly For Babies

I was given this baby nail file to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I'm a mom of 4 and my kids (ages 18m, 4, 9, and 11) are rough on their nails, so I was really excited to try this nail file. They aren't huge fans of regular clippers so I thought this would be a fun little way to get their nails done. It included 5 different file heads for multiple age ranges which came in handy for us. I like that they included several of each type as well. The little travel case keeps everything nice and organized; and even with jostling in our baby bag, the nail file heads stay in place in the case. It's light weight and easy to hold, and just as advertised, it is quiet! All that being said, the product did not work out exactly as we would have liked. Although it has two different settings for speed, it felt like applying any sort of pressure (especially when using the adult file) to the file head made it stop altogether. I felt the need to use it so lightly that it was ineffective. The built in flashlight really didn't help as it was blocked by the file head attachment no matter which way you held it. I think this product would definitely work for infants, especially when their nails are so fine they're hard to cut. Any older than that though, I feel the product does not work as well. A+ for the fun factor though. My kids really enjoyed having me be their nail tech.

I was provided with a Safety 1st Electric Ease Nail File in exchange for my honest review. I have a 5 year old and an 18 month old, and both were immediately drawn to this thing when I pulled it out. It has a flashlight and easy button to press to turn the file on, so it's very intuitive. The 5 year old actually took the file and enjoyed filing his own nails. I'd call that a win! The baby was also very excited to have his nails filed and sat through an entire session with no complaints. Here are my thoughts on this cool product: Pros: I love that it has a safety setting where it will actually stop spinning if too much pressure is applied. There's also a lot of thought put into making the product safe for toddlers, with a locking mechanism on the file to keep it from turning into a choking hazard. The file is gentle and, with a little time and patience, smoothes down those sharp little fingernail and toenails. Cons: The file has two settings- low and medium speed. I will say that I wish there was a third or higher speed, as the lower speed can catch the nail. I think it could be a smoother, more efficient file if it had a little more power. The auto-off safety is also a little annoying, as you have to be careful to apply just the right amount of pressure to avoid triggering the auto-off feature. Both relatively minor drawbacks in the overall product picture. Overall, I love this file and will be using it for all my kids' future nail trims. Anything that gets my kids excited about self-care gets my seal of approval!

I received this product through the Stellar product testing panel. This is such a must have for moms with little ones. I didn't think to add this to my baby registry, big mistake. You definitely need this with kids. So compact you can take it anywhere when traveling and they included extra filing heads, big plus! Love this product!

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel and thank goodness I did. This has been a time saving, life savor when it comes to trimming my little ones nails. The product box looks intimidating upon inspecting the packaging but once you read the directions, they were pretty straight forward and easy to understand. I love how this product contains age appropriate interchangeable file heads which is great because I have a baby and also a 6 year old who hate getting their nails cut. Once I chose the correct file head for my 11 month old the rest was a breeze. My baby was interested in the device so it helped he had a curiosity about the product and not scared. It might have been harder to use if there's fear associated with the device since it is electric. The design made for a simple process and so happy it came with a new battery for use included. My favorite feature is the adult file head because I was able to model the use of the product on myself before trying it on my skeptical 6 year old. The device is a painless and great way to keep up on nails especially if your baby is in scratching phase like mine!

Nifty Nail File Beats Nail Clippers

TheHokeFamily - 10 months ago

I'm a mom of a super busy 16 month old who is impossible to get to sit still these days. Clipping her nails with traditional baby nail clippers has been astronomically hard as she wriggles in my arms and fights to get away. Having a squirmy baby while you are cutting nails can be extremely dangerous. We had an accident while cutting her nails and cut her finger instead. My mom heart was shattered. I swore off nail clippers and tried regular nail files but that was also difficult as it took too long. I had started to give up and then I tried the electronic nail file that was sent to me by the Steller Panel. Not only was it super safe, the process was super fast! The nail file came in a compact little case with extra nail file pads and an easy to use color coded system for those pads based on the age of the person filing their nails and yes, in case you are wondering, you CAN use this on your own nails! The case makes it convenient to throw in the diaper bag or luggage to use any time and anywhere. Assembly was easy; pop in a AAA battery (included), swap out the filing pad and turn it on. There are two speeds that you can choose from and a little light that provides a nice back lighting so that you can accurately see what you are doing. There's no risk of hurting your baby as the harder you press the file to the nail, the slower it spins. It took me 5-6 minutes to do my energetic toddler's nails with no tears from either of us. The only things that I didn't particularly like was the shape of the nail filer and how fast it drains the batteries. I wish the shape was more like a pen , long and slender, rather than round as it is a bit bulky to hold on to. As for the batteries, I put in brand new, name brand batteries and the nail file was already losing power after the first 15 minutes of use. Neither of these issues would cause me not to use this product. I recommend this product to both new and seasoned parents.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby nail file. I am so in love with this! I always used an old fashioned nail clipper, and my toddler never let me do it in peace! This electric nail file just made my life so much easier. I literally file my baby nails in 1 minute. It is fast and works perfectly especially for babies since they don't let you clip their nails in peace! If you haven't invest in one of these as yet! I highly recommend it.

It is gentle and easy to use. The sound is not too loud so it does not scare infants which is great. I love this nail file and am so glad to have received it. This item would be a great gift for moms to be and new moms!

Great product

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I want to give my honest review. First off, I think it is a nice sized product and it comes with a little case to hold the file and the replacement heads so I don't have to worry about losing them. I have used nail clippers on all of my children and have made the mistake of clipping too close and absolutely dread when they need(ed) their nails trimmed. I used this on my 3 1/2 year old and she was thrilled, it is not loud and once I would get touch her fingertips it would pause. There are two speeds, I used the higher one and had no issues and it got the job done quickly. I also used this on my 15 month old as she was really interested in what I was doing with her sister. She let me use it on her fingers and again, I had absolutely no issues. I usually struggle to trim her nails but this went smooth. There is a nice light above the file head that helps tremendously with seeing the nail and I feel that it makes the product 10x better. My only complaint(?) if I had to have one would be that it is definitely better suited for a right handed person. I am left handed and the on/off/change speed button is right where I would rest my thumb and a couple times I would unintentionally change the speed/turn it off. I then flipped it over and while by thumb wasn't pushing any button, the light was on the bottom and really didn't serve its purpose when in that position. I would still recommend this product because it really does make trimming babies/toddlers nails so much easier and a lot safer for them.

I received this item for free through Stellar Product Testing and I am so glad that I did. I love that the product comes in a travel case that keeps the refills and nail file all in one small box. It has two speeds so it can safely be used on the tiniest of fingers. My son hates getting his nails trimmed with nail clippers. The light on the electric nail file also doubles as a great distraction for him. My sons nails grow kind of curved upward so it's always been tricky to trim them. The electric nails file is super easy to use and leaves his nails perfectly smooth. This would make a great gift for any parent.

The Safety 1st Electric Ease Nail File is great to use for small babies and children. I was able to use it for my 7 month old baby and gave it a shot for my 6 year old daughter as well. The "file" pads are easy to switch out which is a plus and they stay put when in use. The product does a great job at filing the nails for both infants and children. While the product does come with adult "file" pads I did not use it for that purpose. It is fairly easy to use but could use some improvement with the design, while it's small and compact (a plus) it's a bit challenging to hold at times, it would be easier if it was more narrow. My favorite feature was the ease of changing out the file pads. The product is also quiet when in use which is also a great feature as most of the time when I do my baby's nails I would prefer not to work with an item that makes a ton of noise. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I love this little compact handy tool. It's fast, sufficient, and keeps my kids interested long enough so they don't squirm out of my lap?? It's very easy to use, the small compact style, easy to travel with and slip in the diaper bag for those emergency claw like fingernails ??I love that it has the interchangeable, different color file heads so you can easily change the file head out according to the age of your baby. And my favorite part.. it even has a little bright white light to make sure you are getting the job done and not miss any sharp edges on your child's nails. It has a file head lock on the back of the tool to make sure it doesn't fall off or your child for some reason doesn't pull it off. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby nail file.

Filing my baby's nails have been scary and I don't ever feel like I get them filed. I purchased another brand's electric nail file and it was okay but I needed more. When opening the nail file I immediately noticed its compact travel case and the round shape of the nail file. This made it SO easy to hold. I also loved the light feature so I can get my baby's nails while he is sleeping. The cherry on top was the ten extra nail pads. The other brand I had came with zero pads and zero way to purchase more. The variety of strengths of files with identifying months/ ages was also very helpful. I was even able to use this on my 9 year old and myself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for parents with any age kids. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby nail file.
