This will only apply if you have a St. Augustine lawn. If dollarweed is growing in a St. Augustine lawn, reduce watering to once every two weeks. The St. Augustine grass will survive nicely without water but the dollarweed will be weakened. Once weakened, it is more susceptible to weed control products. After treating the dollarweed go back to watering only 2 times a week with ½ inch of water.
