Description

Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action1 provides three benefits in one bag. This 3-in-1 formula kills and prevents weeds, all while feeding and strengthening your lawn. It kills broadleaf weeds, including dandelions and clover, and prevents crabgrass for up to 4 months. It also prevents other listed grassy weeds, including barnyardgrass, fall panicum, foxtail, and annual bluegrass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action1 can be applied to Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Bermudagrass, Bahiagrass, Centipedegrass, and Zoysiagrass. Apply with a Scotts® spreader when dandelions are actively growing. Make sure the grass is wet from dew or watering before applying to help the particles adhere to weed leaves. After 24 hours, water the lawn to wash particles into the soil to prevent germination of crabgrass and other listed grassy weeds. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter the treated area until dusts have settled. An 11.31 lb. bag treats 4,000 sq. ft.

Summary of reviews

The product has received mixed feedback from guests, with some praising its fertilization capabilities while others express disappointment in its weed control effectiveness. Many guests noted that it did a good job of greening their lawns, but failed to eradicate weeds, particularly crabgrass and clover. The clumping of the product in the bag has also been a common issue, affecting application. Overall, guests suggest that while it may work for some, it may not meet expectations for weed control.

I see there are some mixed reviews. Personally, it worked great. I followed the directions to the letter and have had good results. The dandelions are dying and the grass is green. Location: Pacific Northwest Grass type: Unknown. It came with the house and it seems, "Suburban Typical."

Last time I ever buy Scott's anything. This product should never have made it to market. The clumps prevent the spreader from dispersing it evenly. I have no idea how much went where. For the price paid this is a rip off. I would be better off hiring a company to do it. You really dropped the ball on this one.

Hello. We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Triple Action and Green Max Bundle and appreciate your feedback. If any moisture gets into the bag, it will cause the granules to lump together. Are you noticing any holes or damage to the packaging? Was the product stored where it was exposed to heat or humidity? If the granules cannot be easily broken apart by dropping the bag, we suggest disposing of the product as it should not be used because it cannot be properly applied. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. Limitations apply. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Triple Action and Green Max Bundle and appreciate your feedback. For best results with controlling existing listed broadleaf weeds, be sure to apply the product when your daytime high temperatures are consistently between 60 to 90°F. For best results, the temperatures should be between 65 and 85°F. Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I) should be applied to a wet lawn and allowed to stay on the foliage undisturbed for at least 24 hours without rain or water. Since this post-emergent weed control is initially absorbed through the weed's foliage, we recommend that the weeds not be mowed for two days both before and after the product application.

Hello. We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I) and appreciate your feedback. To get the best results when making an application of Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I), we recommend allowing 2-4 weeks for a complete control of the weeds as well as applying when the weeds are actively growing, which typically occurs when temperatures are consistently between 60-80 degrees. We also suggest wetting your lawn prior to applying the product, if the lawn was not wet, the granules would not stick to the broadleaf weeds and not be controlled. Also, the product must remain on the weed leaves for 24 hours, however, after the first 24 hours, the product must be watered in.

    Too good to be true

I bought this product on reliance on the sales pitch that it was “triple action” of killing weeds, fertilizing and preventing crabgrass. It failed to perform. I’ve used corn gluten, a natural crabgrass preventer,, which worked better on the crabgrass prevention, and organic fertilizer, which I’ve found is critical for a healthy lawn. On the other hand, I am reminded of the old saying: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is false. Thinking of the ease involved to use such a product suckered me into trying it. Don’t be fooled…

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I) and appreciate your feedback. Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I) prevents crabgrass and other listed grassy weeds and a limited number of broadleaf weeds from developing for up to 4 months. It does not kill mature crabgrass or other existing weeds. It does not prevent dandelions, clover or most other broadleaf weeds. To control crabgrass, apply in early spring before the 3rd or 4th mowing of the lawn. Apply before temperatures reach 80 degrees (crabgrass starts to germinate once temps reach the 80's). Apply before dandelions reach the "puffball" stage. It is important to water the lawn immediately after the first 24 hours of the application. If there was any digging thatching, aerating or any activity on the lawn that would break the soil barrier, crabgrass can develop. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

    Drowning in Crab Grass

I have been using Scott’s lawn fertilizer for years. The 4 step worked great. Hard to find, so using triple Action for several years. Use Halts in early spring. Always apply 4x per year. My once beautiful lawn is now almost all crab grass. Each year it got worse. After seeing these other reviews will no longer use Scott’s. Will cost a fortune to take out old crab grass lawn and put in new lawn, but looks like only solution.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action & Green Max Lawn Food Bundle and appreciate your feedback. It will not prevent broadleaf weeds (before or after the application) and it will not kill existing crabgrass or other grassy type weeds. For broadleaf weed control temperatures must be consistently (several days in a row) between 60 and 80°F. The lawn must be wet for the product to stick to the broadleaf weed leaves. After the first 24 hours the product must be watered in, this will help with the prevention of the weeds listed as being prevented such as crabgrass. We want you to be confident in our products.
