Description
It's time to put a stop to weed-infested lawns - take action with Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed5. This weed killer and lawn fertilizer utilizes WeedGrip™ Technology to grip onto and kill the weeds you see and the ones you don't. It controls over 50 listed weeds, including clover, dandelion, and plantain. In addition, this product feeds to thicken grass to crowd out future weeds. Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed5 when weeds are actively growing and daytime temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F. Make sure your grass is wet from dew or watering, as this helps particles adhere to weed leaves to produce the best results. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Do not water your lawn for 24 hours after application or apply if rain is expected within the next 24 hours. Do NOT use on Creeping Bentgrass, St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Dichondra, Carpetgrass, or Lippa lawns. One 33.95 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed5 covers 12,000 sq. ft.

I purchased the Turf Builder Bundle and put down the 1st step 3 weeks ago. Rain was perfect after application. Before applying I had no clover and very minimal crabgrass in my yard. Now my yard is covered with both.

For best results and the prevention of crabgrass as well as other listed spring germinating weeds, we suggest making an application of Scotts Turf Builder Halts Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food in early Spring before temperatures are consistently in the 80s -usually after the 1st mowing and before the 3rd or 4th of the grass. I used Scott's years ago until I got away from granular application. I chose to try it again when I saw the bundle with free rotary spreader as this should be up to date and more consistent in application. Unfortunately, the amount (4K) and application technique (rotary), even after turning the dial to a lesser number (3 down to 2) came up short. Nothing worse than running out of product before you finish the application. Especially when you know the area and don't understand how this would occur.

The bundle was a great price with a free spreader. I would give it 5 stars if the edge guard was adjustable to become an edge guard when walking in either direction. Because as for now, the guard is only effective in one walking direction.
