Q: Is this safe arounds children. I have a 1 year old and 4 year old who are all over our cat and dog. Our yard back up to woods and I keep finding ticks in the house. I need something fast.

First, I feel like I should say I have two cats and since they are indoors rarely feel like they needed flea protection. However, after increasing my household size with various occupations, my feelings have changed due to the natural vulnerabilities that my feline friends may have when we have visitors or someone brings home unexpected visitors. I can attest that this gives me piece of mind and is light enough where the cats do not constantly try to remove it. I will definitely be considering using this product in the future.

I normally use a topical flea treatment for my cats, but one of my cats absolutely hates it and tries to scratch me when I try applying. I was excited to try this product, since it protects from fleas and ticks for up to 8 months. It can be used on both cats and kittens (over 10 weeks old). The collar is pretty easy to adjust so that it fits cats of any size. For my cat, I measured the length of her regular collar and adjusted the flea collar and cut off the excess before putting on her. Unfortunately she is not very cooperative so I can’t show a photo with her wearing it, but it seems to work better for us, since I don’t have to apply flea treatment every month. She is an indoor cat and doesn’t mind wearing it

It is pretty thin so hasnt bothered him much at all. Very customizable size. I particularly like that it has a breakaway feature in case the collar got caught on anything.

It was initially effective but I still was combing out fleas a week later. I’m sure this would be effective for those laissez faire fleas but mine were undeterred. It’s a good value for the amount of protection, but I will just stick with the monthly treatment.

She spends most of her day going in and out side so I'm happy to know she has protection. She did have a bad case of fleas when she started going outside but products like this have helped control the issue. I am happy Mellon got to try this flea collar. No fleas, no itching. He isn’t used to wearing a collar so that was a bit of a struggle at first. He definitely didn’t like it but now he’s fine and seems to be very comfortable with it on. Also, there was no weird smell or powdery substance on this collar which I’ve seen before and freaks me out.

The collar stayed on well and I did like that you could adjust the size. I didn’t notice any weird smells coming from the collar even after extended wear.

We had actually noticed a couple flees on our cat right before this collar arrived and was so happy to get it!! Since putting it on her we haven’t seen any!! And the tin it came in is nice n can be reused to store things but I would think for most people it is an unnecessary part.
