Q: Hi. I bought this vacuum couple months ago. It works super well on hardwood floor but on carpet, it is EXTREMELY difficult to move and push even with level 2 Brushroll. Is there something wrong? Help!

A: Like most vacuum cleaners there is a suction control actually just a little round ring that usually fits down on the handle and you can either open it which will give you the ability to vacuum rugs or throw rugs without having to feel like you’re pushing 400 pounds if you feel it’s not strong enough then you can close it some and you will get section ever sincecame out that’s it that’s all I buy. I will refuse to buy a Dyson one. It is expensive to. They will fall apart easily and for the third one I just don’t like them.
submitted by6kidsinall - 7 months agoA: I would say there is something wrong with yours. We have had ours for 2 years and it is the easiest vacuum I’ve owned so far. I’ve never had an issue with this vacuum and I actually traded my Kirby in for this one. There is little to no resistance using this on the carpet with the brush roll on. LOVE this vacuum.

submitted byhb - 6 years agoA: Ilove mine, Recently I accidentally sucked up gum balls and luckily this vacuum has a cup things like that go into and I flipped open thetop door and took them out and finished my floors. Good luck.

A: You can turn off what I think you’re talking about, the brush roll, by putting it on bare floor.

A: Ours was making a high pitched noise and has zero suction. Checked hoses and large ome was completed blocked by a building block and trash!

It has great suction. However, replacing the roller requires way too much effort. You have to remove at least 6 screws , two of which are underneath the front wheels. This is totally unnecessary.

I have had my Shark Navigator for about 15 years. The reason it has lasted so long is because I have taken care of my part of the bargain. She gets her rollers and wheels checked and cleaned, her canister, filters cleaned and dried and she is emptied after every use. She is remarkable as the day she was purchased, though looking a little tattered. She has been through several pets, remodels and moves. I have severe allergies and she does what she can to prevent flare upset. I am tempted to get a new one just like her but I am retired (with pets) and have to be frugal. I have no idea who would rate her lower than a five but such is life.

Have a new NV360 Navigator Delux. Very disappointed that the attachments are placed on a curved handle permanently attached to hose. It lacks the traditional 2 extension wands, so, I have to move tables to clean floor behind, can not just reach in with one or two wand extension tubes, terrible lack. It was. not broke, genius designers fixed it anyway

I purchased this vacuum with the goal of having a stronger tool to manage double-coated dog hair and kid cleanup. And it's exceeded my expectations! I already have the Dhark robot vacuum, but the rugs needed help. Navigator to the rescue, with unbelievable suction that pulled SO much out the rugs that I didn't even know was there. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and the onboard tools make switching to crevice tasks super simple. It's made cleaning more enjoyable and satisfying. 10/10 if you have dogs and like super cleaning.

We have an eight year old and one year old and constantly getting crumbs and dirt everywhere so we needed a good vacuum to clean our floors with. This vacuum has exceeded my expectations! It’s so easy to put together and use. It picks up everything from hair, crumbs, dust, and dirt. I also love that I can use this on my hardwood floors. Best purchase I’ve made in a while.

Hard to push, you have to unclip to empty tank. It's hard to get the wand off and it isn't helping the dust on carpet. Seems to have good suction but doesn't pick up much.

Who designed these new shark vacuums? They are terrible. I have been using shark products including their vacuums for 15+ years and I loved them. So naturally when I needed a new vacuum I went right to shark. I received my new vacuum and I absolutely dislike it. It is terrible. First thing I noticed is the cord is very short. I used to be able to get around a good portion of my living room and dinning area and now I have to constantly move the cord with me. The second thing is why is the button to change from rugs to hard floors down so low, it used to be right at ur finger tips now I have to bend over to push it. The other part is this vacuum is so difficult for me to push on carpet! I honestly wish I would have bought a different brand and I never thought I would say this. I might sell this baby because I cannot imagine using it for several years.

I loved my old Shark but this one is not my favorite. It doesn’t roll nicely even on low pile carpet, the attachments don’t stay on the hose while vacuuming or on their storage spot, and it just feels overall clumsy. I’ve decided to get rid of it after about a month of trying to get used to it.

PROS: Amazing suction, really great on hard floors (doesn't spew stuff like most), maneuvers well without being floppy, canister is roomy and really easy to remove for emptying. CONS: Great suction means it's a bit of a workout to use. Edges are too high to fit under cabinets, not able to get under sofas. Replaced my Rocket - this is far superior but bulkier.

I was shocked at how difficult this was to push on carpet! No self-propel at all. On-off/carpet to floor button is in a terrible location. I made the mistake of tossing the box before actually using it, so now I'm stuck with it until I can afford a different one. Note to self, read the reviews before buying!

I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I got this for Christmas and have only used it twice. Both times I could barely push it across the floor. It seemed to move more smoothly when I was pulling it back but pushing it forward feels like I am going to damage the carpet. I would love any and all suggestions.
