The reviewers that complain about the gap must not had read the big signs placed on the tags. They clearly state what you have to do in order for the gap to close. If the gap doesn't align and close, it's because you are not done assembling it or you did not do it properly. Review all the steps and in the end it will close when the sides of gate are pressured enough at the ends. With that being said, I love that it's strong and sturdy. The way to pull up the bottom button along with the door and slide back the top button may take getting used to for some- but I consider it much safer for my family since my bright girls love to figure out how to open these type of things. It's quick and easy to get through with a squirmy baby and toddler and I love that if you open the door all the way back, it will stay open in case you need to carry a few more things in/out or are waiting for a slow toddler to catch up. Otherwise, the door closes on its own behind you quickly which I also appriciate when I make a run for it from my girls for a brief moment. And the door swings both ways regardless so that's great as well!

I love how it works great! And love the color, it makes my house still have an elegant look. My two son 14th and 10th got the hang of it right away to open it up. And it goes front or back the door.

This item broke within one day of installation. It looked sturdy while installing but the plastic broke when my husband shut it normally the day after I installed it. I am returning it asap. Not worth the money.

My family loves this gate, definitely came in handy when my son started really roaming the house. Now he cant get into the kirchen and its fantastic. Wish we had more to put in front of bedroom doors instead of having to close them.

First it didn’t arrive as originally stated but I was willing to by pass that as long as the product was as stated. The product is poorly built. This isn’t warehouse or packaging issues. This gate is not leveled and the gate latch is a good 1.5” off. So one can’t even latch it. The gate isn’t bent or anything, it was just built incorrectly.

This gait is toddler heaven! Opens both ways, came with extension for larger doors!! It took some getting use to with the clasp, but I love it now!

Gate worked just like it was advertised. Unfortunately, it was not tall enough so my dog was able to jump over it but that is not the fault of the gate. It looks great with my decor and does auto close. I would happily buy again if it were taller.

I received this Toddleroo Gate in exchange for my honest review. This baby gate is perfect. Its easy to install and even comes with an extender. The gate is super heavy and sturdy which makes it a really nice gate too have. Very nice solid color too match any homes decor too. This gate also auto closes behind you. Great gate!

This gate is made very well. It’s easy to install and looks nice no matter where you put it. The instructions are easy to follow. I love that it comes with removable extensions so it fits in more spaces. I would definitely recommend it!

This baby gate is perfect gate for parents. It auto closes on you which is great and the gate comes with extender which is amazing as some of us probably have wider hallways and doorways. I totally would recommend it and the color is great as it matches pretty well in our household. The gate is very sturdy and feels heavy so you know the baby won’t lean it down.

Perfect baby gate! Installation was easy. The arched detail adds some character and the gray color allows it to blend in to our home decor. Opening/closing is easy to do with one hand while carrying baby. It auto closes behind you or can be stay in open position. It was just what we needed!

First, let's talk about what I love. I love the color. I love that it looks more elegant and adult like, and fashionable. Not an eyesore as some products can be. Fairly easy to install, nothing overly complex. And I love the little locking slide at the bottom for further control as needed. Now, where the item fails, and why it was rated 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I can see the opening function being challenging while holding a baby. Most hold babies with their dominant hand/arm, and needing to press, slide AND lift to open is challenging with a non-dominant hand. Or late at night when overly tired and being frustrated trying to get in. It was however fun for me to watch my husband and 9 year old try to figure out how to open it, so that upped it from 3 stars alone haha. A drawback to the self closing feature as well is that you have to open it about 6 inches before the weight will make it self close. If you open get distracted and leave but barely open it, it will remain open. I'd prefer to see warning labels on the packaging for this, just in case... All in all this is a beautiful product that fits many needs. I am excited to no longer nag my 8 year old to close the gate when he leaves an area my prior gate was, and is a nice upgrade from what we had before. I am also looking forward to showcasing the product to all my newer mama friends when they visit.

Exactly what I expected! This gate stands to the test to my two year old. Every other gates she’s been able to knock over. This one holds up better than any other one. It’s a little difficult to open but for me that’s ok. I also like how the gate can either hold open or spring close. I would highly recommend this gate if you are looking for a reliable and sturdy gate.

This gate is a life saver. It was very simple to install. The directions were easy to follow and understand. I installed it on my kitchen door. It fit snugly in my doorway. It is easy for adults to operate. The design is perfect for my household. I just love it so much!

Great quality and nice color. Instead of a bright white gate, the color blends in better. Comes out of the box mostly assembled (see picture). Easy to install and would for sure buy more! Overall very happy!

Very solid gate. The gate has a couple extensions that you can add or remove to adjust the gate to the right size. I imagine this will fit most hallway spaces, but it does have a minimum/maximum so make sure you measure. I have two twin girls (15 months) that have given this gate a pounding, and it still stands with no sign of falling over. It's got a very solid design and you have the option to drill attachments to the wall for even more security. The attachments allow you to secure the gate even further to the wall while still allowing it to be moved (the attachment is recommended). My only complaint is that all the parts have specific ways and places they need to be attached, this was not super clear in the instructions or marked on the parts themselves. It's not hard to figure out, just something to pay attention to, and when you do assembly is pretty easy.

I love this gate. Baby gates typically really break up the look of a room with cheap plastic. This metal, brass gate feels intentionally- which is a nice change in the baby-stuff world. It matches the hardware in my kitchen and looks just more finished than your standard white gate. It works well, is easy to put together, and has some umph to it. It would work well for dogs, too, depending on size. It doesn’t work well for extra large spaces, but it wasn’t intended to. I took a close up picture of one of the parts to try to showcase color.

This gate is beautiful and very well made. It was not the easiest for me to install, but figured it out. The gate works very nicely and we use it for the baby, and the dog! It is well made and also looks nice in our home, and easy to use!
