Description
Gas-like performance without all the drawbacks of gas. That’s what the Worx 40V Power Share 14” Cordless Chainsaw gives you. We’ve doubled the volts of our standard Power Share tools and made a chainsaw powered by two 20V batteries. Double the run time and upgraded performance but still with cordless convenience and without the smell or expense of gasoline.
We’re able to achieve this on account of the saw’s high-efficiency brushless motor. It’s more durable and uses less battery than a motor based around a brush design. It spins the 0.043” gauge chain, with a 3/8” pitch, at 26ft/s. So you’ve got all the power you need to perform every regular chainsaw job. Cut 26” diameter logs on the ground or 13” diameter trees that are still standing, for instance. Auto-tensioning and auto-oiling systems keep the bar and chain running at peak performance throughout the entire life of this tool. And on-board battery charge indicators, and oil-tank markings, let you know when you’ll need to recharge or refill the oil. Plus, the quick-stop chain brake adds an extra level of safety to this saw, so you’ll know you can always shut it down at a moment’s notice.

Leaks Oil, Oil damages electrics

Avoid. Saw began leaking oil after a few months, worsened over time. Now after 3 years the electric components are fouled by the oil oozing around inside the case. Switches, controls, terminals covered in oil. Cause looks to be a the poor seal around the rubber tube leaving the oil tank. The tube itself is degraded but the rubber grommit is ok, so there is a small gap. Worx response is to empty the oil after each use. Super super lame now my chainsaw is garbage due to design fault. Glad I didn’t buy into the system.

Hello There! Thank you for sharing your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. The auto-drip system is controlled by pressure built up in the chamber, if oil is left in the tool while storing this pressure will cause the tool to continuously push oil out which is why we recommend to empty the tool and keep the oil cap loosened within storage. However, if you would like to provide us with additional feedback regarding your tool, please feel free to email us at worx-reviews@positecgroup.com and we’ll be glad to assist you. Thank you for choosing Worx!

I purchased this saw a few weeks ago. Since I got it, I have tried to use it 10 to 12 times and every time the chain pops off! I have watched videos, looked for tips through customer service, taken the entire thing apart and put it back together. The chain pops off on almost every cut.

I've had this model for about 2 years; it performs very well. On April 1st 2023 we had 12" of "heart attack" snow that damaged/destroyed multiple trees (that's Minnesota for ya!) I cut and bucked over three full cords of wood using this saw exclusively. Two 20 V batteries last about 30 minutes of runtime on average (then take about 90 minutes to recharge...perfect for a mandatory coffee break. I purchased two additional batteries so I could swap them out, as well as use them in other Worx tools as needed...highly recommend this saw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very handy tool. My wife is able to use it. Cut very well. Have to issues with it. First it leaks bar oil when it is stored for awhile. Second the chain come off alot, much more than any other saw I have ever used. Otherwise very handy.

My wife and I are in 'make life as easy as possible' mode aka 'nearing retirement'. I have an 18" gas chainsaw and a 10" corded electric chainsaw that came with a pole. Both are considerably heavier than the Worx 14" cordless chainsaw we just bought. At 10 pounds its easier to use, power is abundant and it takes the hassle out of tightening and lubricating the chain. The power charging station it comes with is designed to be mounted to the wall just like the one I got with my trimmer/edger all those years ago. I have the charging stations in the shed to be plugged into the outlet and light I have in there. Its a great setup. This is my 4th Worx product (trimmer/edger, snowblower, blower/vac) and now the chainsaw. I would not keep buying Worx products if they didn't work well. I am pretty demanding of the tools I purchase.
I love this saw

I couldn’t believe how much power it has and cuts like a gas saw , It has a narrow bar and should be clean every time you use it completely take the chain off bar and get the build up in the bar.

Light weight but cuts through trees effortlessly. I’m a novice using a chainsaw but so far it really saves time and effort. I got some pointers on chainsaw use from Utube videos, so being safe is a priority. No taking on widowmakers for me just yet, best to start small but this chainsaw has a lot of capacity for bigger jobs.

We use it around our property & at our seasonal campsite. The batteries are long lasting & charge quickly. Easy to use. It is a very powerful unit for being battery operated. A great addition to our Worx "fleet" of products. Highly recommend.

Got it the week before a storm & charged the batteries. Had a big limb come down in ice storm and put the batteries & oil in the saw and tried it out. It cut as well as gas saw and quieter. When pinched and the chain came off, I found it easier to put back on than the directions that I read later. Cleaner and easier with less mess than a gas saw. It was nice to just put it down quiet, then hit the trigger when you want to make another cut after moving limbs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this a month ago and cut down some small trees. The chainsaw was super quiet. My wife didn't even know I used it. It cut down the trees quickly. I brought the chainsaw without the batteries since I have a bunch of batteries from other Worx tools I brought. I highly recommend it.

I've only owned this for about a week but have had lots of opportunity to use if after a heavy wet snow storm that brought down many trees and branches. Battery life seems reasonable, saw cuts well, no complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got the saw, I was eager to give it a try. I had a Black Locust tree that was about 10 in in diameter and about 40 ft tall. I notched it then feel it without a hitch. I then started to cut it up into burnable size logs. The batteries that came with it gave out when I was almost done so I switched to some 4 amp batteries I had and finished the job without a problem. NOW the cutthroat part.......It is not a gas-powered saw and does not perform like one. When cutting 6 and smaller limbs it's a great little saw. I will use it to limb out trees I cut. The secret with this saw as is with any saw is to keep the chain sharp.
