Q: The title says "sulfate free" but I don't see it anywhere on the bottle. Is it truly sulfate free?

A: Thank you for your question. There was a package and formulation change in 2022. The Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash is Sulfate Free now.

A: That's going to vary based on how much you use each time, but I generally get about a month out of a 34oz bottle - that's with a shower every day. The pump on the bottle is great - one pump is all that's generally needed.

A: Thanks for asking about our Sensitive Skin Hypoallergenic Body Wash. The product is formulated and the ingredients are blended to ensure a fine, smooth texture during use. Bumpy texture (which may feel gritty during use) may be the result of pieces of over-dried soap which doesn't dissolve as quickly as the bulk of the bar. This soap is absolutely drying. I bought it because I liked the Dove probiotic soap (which I assume was discontinued). This one made even my husband’s hands dry, and he does not have sensitive skin like myself.

I bought this soap because I suspected sodium laurel sulfate was causing it itching on my body. This has a different form of laurel salt which they claim is hypoallergenic. But it’s not. I was suspicious because it was so extremely soapy and lather. My itching didn’t improve until I started using Eucerin wash. It was completely gone then I tried washing one time with the Dove, sensitive skin and woke up in the night with bad itching on my body. I took a shower at midnight with the eucerin in the morning I no longer have the itching.

I've been using this body wash for the past 15+ years also because my mom also uses Dove. Great body wash leaves you feeling smooth and fresh. Been told my skin is really soft. I pair this with Eucerin daily moisturizer w/sunscreen and Eucerin heavy duty advanced moisturizer

I don’t know what they did, but this new packaging body wash smells like bad oatmeal to me. I can’t use it anymore due to the nasty scent. Pretty disappointed I’ve been using this body wash for 20+ years.

We love this body wash, and especially the fragrance. We all, especially my daughter, have sensitive skin, but none of us are bothered by this. We really wish they had a body cream in this same fragrance, because it smells SO good. It’s creamy and moisturizing and has a really great clean smell. For those who have an issue with fragrance, the DO sell a fragrance free version…

I switched to this product on a whim to try a new soap and I was disappointed. I have eczema and acne prone skin. Seeing as it's labeled sensitive skin and I've heard good things about Dove Soap, I gave it a try. I started breaking out all over my body and couldn't figure out why and my eczema on my hands was flaring up. I switched back to my old soap and now everything is back to normal. After reading other reviews I see this soap is DEFINITLY not for sensitive skin.
