Q: Is this good for a 1 year old who has eczema?
A: The Coppertone Pure & Simple Kids Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is not specifically formulated for users with eczema. We recommend checking with your Pediatrician for advice on a sunscreen product best suited for a one year old with eczema.
submitted byCoppertone Team - 2 years agoBrand expertA: I would absolutely NOT use this on a one-year-of with eczema. This gave my two-year-old a terrible rash. His skin is still itchy & dry with red bumps after several days of using healing ointments.

Q: What is the difference between this kid pure & simple sunscreen and the pure & simple gentle sunscreen? They look like they have the exact ingredients. Also, what ingredient in this sunscreen makes it "tear-free"?
A: We want to be certain we are providing you with accurate product information. Without the exact products for reference, we are unable to make a comparison for you as formulations can change. There is not a specific ingredient that qualifies our products as tear-free. In order to be labeled tear-free, our products undergo specific clinical testing to insure the formulas won't sting the eyes and are non-irritating. Q: Since this has zinc oxide does it leave a white residue after application?
A: It leaves a mild one, but the fact that it doesn’t have harmful chemicals on your kids’ skin is so worth the small inconvenience. Great product!
