Q: Can you use a diluted vinegar solution in the machine for cleaning on porcelain tile?
A: We recommend you use floor polish with the EP170. The Ewbank Floor Polish (17 oz.) leaves a non slip shine, protects the floor against wear and tear, and is fast drying. Just to let you know, the machine does not hold any cleaning solution. Please test a small area before you polish your entire floor first to ensure you are happy with the results.

Q: Hello! Can this polisher be used with floor wax?
A: Thank you for asking this question! The short answer is no. This is a cleaner and polisher not a waxing machine. If you use straight wax with this unit it can gum up the works. It's also very light weight and most floor waxing machines are quite heavy. However, that being said, some polishing liquid has a bit of wax in it and that is perfectly fine. Remember when using any cleaning solution to regularly clean the base of the unit, and the brushes and the washable pads.

Q: what kind of soap can you use
A: Hello and thank you for your question. Ewbank does make a floor polish spray that works well with a litany of floors. However, if you are using the brushes and want to put some kind of detergent or soap on the floor, that is buyers choice. Pick the soap that works best for the kind of floor you have, and has a smell that is pleasant for you. Bear in mind that this unit does not soak up water, so if you use a soap that pools on the floor in order to give it a good cleaning and scrubbing, you will have to go back and soak up any left water. Thanks again fo your question. ~Ewbank Team.

Q: Will this machine sand the floor removing all the stains, paint, and anything else that is stuck to the floor?
A: Thank you for your question. The Floor Polisher is a great little unit, but it is not very heavy. You can use the brushes on some of the tougher stains, or paint, with some kind of detergent on the floor to help break it up. You can use the scouring pads as well if the brushes are not course enough. Be careful with how much pressure you put on the unit itself, so as not to scratch the floor or damage the unit. If the stains and paint are old and ground into the floor you might want to consider some kind of pre cleaning or resurfacing before a polisher. Thank you. ~Ewbank Team
