Description
The Kärcher Robot Vacuum Cleaner RCV 5 for hard floors and carpets is the smart solution for floor cleaning. The vacuuming robot removes dust and dirt fast, neatly, and completely autonomously. One battery charge will last for around 120 minutes. At 66 dB, it is also quiet and will not disturb anyone while working. Its 5000pa suction power also adapts to each surface type. When the robot vacuum recognizes a carpet, it will increase suction for even more thorough cleaning. The robot vacuum cleaner also comes with a mopping function, to help remove even hardened dust and dirt with exchangeable and washable microfiber cloths. The side brushes ensure edges and corners are thoroughly cleaned as well. With a height of just 3.7 in., the RCV 5 can also clean under low furniture. The LiDAR laser sensors map floors and recognize obstacles that the robot vacuum cleaner will avoid. In addition, the RCV 5 has a dual laser system that also detects obstacles below the LiDAR sensors, such as shoes. Innovative crash sensors detect stairs and other areas with a risk of a fall, so that the robot will stay away from them. The robot vacuum has no problems crossing thresholds or carpets up to a height of 0.7 in.. You can easily control the robot with the Kärcher Home Robots app. In the app, you can set up cleaning schedules and specifications as well as no-go-zones. Detected carpets will be marked as no-go-zones in the app and the robot vacuum won’t use the mopping function there. You can also map multiple floors in the app and save individual cleaning specifications for each floor map. In the box, you’ll find the Kärcher Robot Vacuum Cleaner RCV 5, docking station, freshwater tank (8.11 oz.), dust container (11.15 oz), two side brushes, two filters and two microfiber cleaning cloths.

A: Hi Maria, Yes, it sure will! In addition to setting up a map of your home that it uses to know where your walls and furniture are located, the RCV 5 uses a laser and camera based system to identify obstacles in its path and route itself around them. It will even note things it encounters on the map in the Karcher Home Robots app so you can be aware of items left out and areas that might require further cleaning.

It does get very panicked when it can't find home, which makes all of us laugh. The cats still don't quite know what to think, the dogs stay away, but momma is happy with a clean floor!

I love technology but don't always want to the first-line early adopter, I've been skeptical about how well these can work. But I've had a few days to spend with the Karcher RCV5 and it's so so awesome. The setup was easy, the app works great, and the vacuum and mop functions are top notch! The vacuum function has four suction power levels, from a quiet night mode all the way up to a turbo charged mode. It can take awhile but because it's thorough and cleans every nook and cranny. We have an open-format kitchen, dining room, and living room, it was able to vacuum and mop all three in about 40 minutes. Battery life won't be an issue, it has plenty. Would absolutely choose this again!

The amount of dust it picks up is significantly noticeable. We have a 1800sqft home and its battery can easy go more than once around the house. You can change the amount of suction, from regular to turbo. There’s a bunch of different mop settings, that I haven’t fully played around with, but on the 1st pass, was definitely impressed. When it’s on the regular level, it really doesn’t make a lot of noise, but it’s a little louder when it’s on turbo, which seeing how much it actually picked up, it could be as loud as it wants to be. I couldn’t believe how much it picked up so quickly. I have cats, so no matter how many times a day I vacuum, it’s still something to pick up. I really love this, and am so grateful that I got it. The app lets you turn it on wherever, whenever. So it’s even great when on vacation, so you don’t have to immediately come home and vacuum.

It feels very solid and well-made, and I’m confident it will last for years. The design is sleek and modern—mine is white, and it blends perfectly with my home decor. What I love most is how smart it is. It maps out the rooms, so it knows where everything is, which makes the cleaning super efficient. It doesn’t just randomly wander around but covers the space logically, saving time. It’s also surprisingly quiet, which is great because it doesn’t disrupt anything while running. The battery life is fantastic—I managed to vacuum two floors on a single charge. It handles vinyl and short carpets really well but does struggle with thicker, fluffy carpets. Overall, I’m really happy with this vacuum. I haven’t noticed any downsides so far!

This was my first purchase of anything autonomous and I was not disappointed. Set up was very easy and the app intuitive. I have a large main floor with both hard surface and area rugs with several types of furniture including a full dinning room set. This robot floor cleaner does a great job navigating all of the furniture and dog toys and not once have I had to help it in anyway. I have yet to try the wet mopping feature, but I am very impressed on how much it picks up during its vacuum run. I was actually embarrassed as I thought I kept my floors pretty clean, but after one cleaning cycle I was amazed on how much dirt this thing found. I also have a Golden Retriever and if you know anything about them, they drop a massive amount of hair and the powerful vacuum on this machine eagerly picks it up from my rugs and hard floors. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice option to save themselves some time over manually sweeping or vacuuming their floors.
