A: Hello, All our robots come with built-in cliff sensors and will avoid falling down stairs or other cliffs. It is not meant for cleaning stairs. You can create a different map later. The app will have the option to save up to 10 smart maps.

iRobot has become the least advanced vacuum robot. I really debated this purchase but went for it when there was a sale. I will never purchase iRobot brand again. Their vacuums constantly have connection issues, run for only 3 minutes and say job complete, etc. The amount of times I have to reset or reconnect the vacuum throughout the week takes away from the convenience of having it in the first place. Meanwhile, I have a Eufy brand on our 2nd floor that almost never requires any intervention to run efficiently. iRobot has already send me a replacement for the original one I purchased that after working well for a week, is back to the same connection and running time issues I was already having. Highly recommend going with a different brand for a robot vacuum.

We tried it for 3 months. It just never worked right! It wouldn't map well, always gets stuck, and was more effort than just vacuuming. Not worth the price tag, i expected more.

This is the worst robot i have ever had. It struggles with cleaning and the base never works. The trash bin always says it full, i have had to dump it out myself, which defeats the purpose. I have reached out to the company and they always start with, “sorry that it took us so long to get back to you” just not the best unit and service.

Always goes offline . Only used it 5 times. Now saying replace the bin. The bin is in there. I’ve tried everything still not working. I’m still within the window to return but I don’t have the box.

i switched from shark thinking roomba would be better. it was awful. I ended up returning it after a week of mapping and it still would miss half of my house. maybe i missed the part of the instructions where it said the mapping feature doesn’t work for the mop part so if you have carpet or rugs in rooms you either have the close doors if possible or block things off because it would go over carpet/rugs. honestly the mop part wasn’t worth it, hard to rinse the reservoir and the mop pad was small and thin.

My iRobot app constantly says my Roomba is offline and needs to be rebooted. Every. Single. Time. Sometimes I need to reboot several times before my Roomba will work - which can take up to 15-20 mins. (I have very good wifi and no problems with any other device in my home.) Once she is running she does great. It's just the frustration of getting her to even start that makes me not want to even bother most days.

It doesn't mop well and doesn't vacuum the area around its charging station. That spot gets filled with dust and dirt. I can't select a small area for cleaning, nor can I add a second floor plan for the upstairs. However, its battery lasts long enough to clean the entire place."

This roomba is not smart at all only has caused frustration. Has smart map capability and is lost trying to locate room once it does, takes less than 10 minutes vacuuming and takes an hour or so trying to travel back home. Worthless! Only gave it a star bc I had no other choice.

I've bought seven Roombas among our family over the years, recommended many more, and am a big fan of them. The i5 combo was so disappointing I have returned it. The smart mapping tries to be too clever for its own good. Per this screenshot, despite having created an impressive map of my ground floor, life was spent 'travelling' and not 'vacuuming'. It would spend ages trying to locate itself despite already being in the room it was supposed to clean, containing its home base. Worst of all, while I knew it could only have one smart map (so my first and second floor would be unmapped), it refused to clean rooms not on the map, making it entirely useless as a home machine. This and unreliable Google Home commands, indecipherable coloured indicators, and a smaller bin than older models, was enough. Back to my ten year old 870 which is almost flawless.
