How to:
1. Thoroughly wet your hair, then create partings with the pointed tip and apply shampoo directly to your scalp.
2. Massage in to create a rich lather. Add a little water if needed.
3. Rinse well before conditioning.
Tip: Use the pointed tip to get your shampoo right where you need it most… at the scalp!

Contains Curl Hydration Complex, our signature moisture-infusing complex designed to hydrate, reduce frizz and encourage coils while adding shine and protecting against environmental stressors and color fade.

Real person who really bought this with their own money here. I have fine, wavy borderline curly hair (I think it’s 2c/3a) and lots of it. This weighed my hair down so badly it lost almost all of its curl. I could achieve juuust a bit of fluffy wave on a wash day and after sleeping on it no amount of curl refreshing would revive my hair. Using this up was a nightmare. Only positive thing is that it smelled good and at least my hair didn’t fall out. AVOID if your hair sounds like mine.

Best shampoo for black people, period!

Loved it. Best shampoo I've ever used. I'm a black male, with type 4c, possible 4d if there's such a thing. My hair is extremely coily. It gives the hair volume while being extremely soft and light on hair. I've tried every product aimed at black folks and some that targeted curly. Let me tell you, even without silicones, it's provided the softest hair you could ever imagine. Nothing comes close. And it doesn't contain protein, which is good. Protein can cause breakage and even hair loss. Trust me when I say, this is a winner

the bottle itself is designed poorly to be used in the shower. the nozzle is very difficult to open or close with wet hands. The prongs are not long enough to get a good grip. And it is meant to go directly to the root but always gets wrapped in my hair. Not remarkable shampoo in and of itself either. Disappointing because the other products from the same brand that I have used have been great.

I honestly give this zero stars. I’m not one to do reviews, but this KILLED my scalp to the point I cut all my hair off!!!! It dried my scalp out, made it super itchy, lots of flaking scalp, and raw spots on my head and base of hairline! I’ve never in my life had a shampoo/conditioner do this to me. It FLATTENED my curls too. Sincerely- it smells good, but don’t put this on your head. This is awful!! 😭😭

I’ve never felt like I was picky about shampoo and I could pretty much use anything, but this is the first shampoo I’ve ever hated. It made my hair so poofy and frizzy and my curls lost all definition. Somehow, my hair also doesn’t feel totally clean after using it either. Leaves my hair drying and oily and looking disgusting. So weird!

I'm a little confused with the bad reviews because this shampoo worked beautifully for me. After one use i woke up with less frizz, defined curls, and my hair smelled amazing. I used both the shampoo and conditioner, maybe that made a difference?

It has the best scent ever. It's super hydrating. You can feel your hair start to change texture while washing. The applicator tip is incredible. Price is amazing for like brands. I stopped using it for a few months and my hair was a mess. This is after 1 wash. My curl patterns are returning already.

first, i love the bottle. i think the tip is very helpful in preventing wasting product, and it allows me to pour it directly behind my ears/on my scalp. second, it leaves my hair SO soft. after my first use, it made a visible difference. it’s as if i had used my leave-in conditioner! no frizz whatsoever. third, it helps define my wavy hair into more curly shape (still wavy). i used to use function of beauty for wavy hair, but this executes a lot better and without having to put in any boosters. 10/10 in my book!

This worked wonders for my thick relaxed hair. It felt AMAZING afterwards, and was left incredible soft. Again, the scent is a mature woman's scent, not candy coated sugary cotton candy, which I personally cannot stand. The scent is earthy and soft. It may be a good idea to smell it before purchasing, which could save a lot of time...doesn't everyone do that before purchasing anyhow? Most importantly, the shampoo is phenomenal, cleanses very well, and left my hair buttery soft, even before applying the matching conditioner.
