Andis Bonnet Hair Dryer - Black

Worked fine a few times, then stopped working completely. I believe it's an electrical issue in the actual product. Also the hose didn't connect securely to the blow dryer.

Every time it would get hot it would shut off so either mine is defective or this is just how this works. The bonnet hat is uncomfortable and tight but does have a adjustable string. Based on the other reviews people seem to like it but it doesn’t work for us. Returning

I have this hair dryer and I’ve used it maybe 4-5 times in the past year. It sometimes comes on and stays then other times it turns on and then back off within a few minutes. I thought it was my outlet but it’s not. Today, I’ve tried to use it and it timed out suddenly. In the past when this has happened I’ve been able to get it back on but i think it’s just defective.

My first one conked out on me after 5 years, so I brought a new one… first of all they come in purple or yellow boxes. I decided to get purple because it was only one left. So I purchased it yesterday (Sunday), and opened it today. The bonnet on this dryer is much smaller than my old Andis… and it literally stopped working within 30 minutes. I tried using a different plug, still won’t turn on. I will be returning.

This is the 2nd I have purchased, tge 1st the connection between the hose and the bonnet shredded, thec2nd just stopped working for no apparent reason the item had never been dropped or misused and the air vents were always unobstructed during use, after maybe 6 uses it just turned off and would not turn back on

I stupidly bought this twice when I shouldn’t have bought another one. Both of them the hose became detached from the piece that connects to the bonnet. The first it was after a few months. The second time it was a little than a month. If I could give this no stars I would. For the price it definitely should be lasting a lot longer.

The bonnet is extremely tight and very uncomfortable. I thought the tight cap was probably irregular so I called Andis and they were nice enough to send me another cap but unfortunately it was the absolute same, extremely tight, unusable. I’m only able to keep it on a few minutes at a time.

This dryer was fine at first. The bonnet was a bit too tight but overall fine. HOWEVER, I only got 4 uses out of it. The 5th time I tried to dry my hair, it died half way through. Giant waste of money

I have long thick locs, and I've always had trouble drying them thoroughly at home. This dryer is a lifesaver, it is powerful and dries quickly. The bonnet is large enough for all my locs, I'm truly happy with this purchase!

Lasted a little over a year before it started to overheat.

I purchased the dryer on 2/23/24 used the dryer on 2/25/24 and I returned the dryer on 2/25/24. The dryer gets hot but is set to a default setting of warm when purchased, you must switch the lever to hot and to high for high heat. I did not realize this until 1 hour in. The Bonnet is a great size. The dryer is travel friendly. The dryer is great for natural hair 4b4c. The issue: While using the dryer I turned the dryer off to grab a bottle of water, turned it back on no issues, turned it off 30 minutes later to grab a book, turned it back on with no issues, I trued the dryer off again 30 minutes later to grab a snack and remove my black hair wrap strips and when I turned the dryer back on the dryer would not turn back on. I ran the dryer for a total of 2 hrs prior to the issue. I was pretty much dry at this point as I was drying my hair to set it for a slick back ponytail hair style for the work week. I returned the dryer and purchased another as I needed to finish drying my hair in the few spots it was damp. If you have natural hair you understand what moisture can do if air dried! (puff effect). If this one cuts off I plan on returning it as well as a short circuit within the dryer maybe the issue or the dryer requires a power surge protector to retain its useful life. Other than that it really is a great dryer .

This dryer gave out on me after about 3 uses. Short fuse or something. Doesn't evenly distribute heat.

I bought this less than a year ago, before the slew of bad reviews and I think we all got some sort of cheaper made one than it used to be. It will now only dry my hair for 20 minutes max before shutting off. It’s not hot. It’s well ventilated and yet still, it clicks off. This sort of dryer is my go-to because of mobility issues but I am so done with this one.

It doesn’t get hot. Or even warm. I would give it no stars if I could.

I’m giving it one star for the design. It’s very compact and would be easy to carry. As for the dryer itself it gets zero stars because it never got above cool which defeats the purpose of using it. I should’ve listened to the other reviews.

I purchase this dryer in July 2023 and it just abruptly stopped working December 2023. I think I’ve used it all of 10 times MAX. what a waste.

This dryer stopped working for me after 10 months. I don’t often sit under the dryer - perhaps 1x/month at best so that means I have used this item 10 times and it already stopped working. I see this has been the case with other customers so I would not recommend

I’ve had this for 10 months. It does the job. I like that it is portable and compact. It has 2 speed and 2 heat (warm and hot) settings. The heat is more like low and warm as “hot” is much cooler than my handheld and hooded dryers. Let’s say it’s comfortably warm. The 2 areas I’d like to see improve is the length of the dryer tube- just isn’t long enough to sit on the floor while I’m in a chair or on the bed. Also the bonnet is not very adjustable. It digs into my head

Unfortunately, I have to join the slew of negative reviews. I purchased the dryer back in January and it worked perfectly fine up until this month. I used it a couple weeks ago and the cord on the inside and the end that connected to the bonnet randomly broke. I was able to stuff both ends back in to finish drying my hair. I just tried it again and both ends popped out again while I was trying my hair. I put both in back into their proper place and the dryer turned on for maybe five minutes and then completely stop after. I still have 20 minutes left to dry my hair, so this is unfortunate. I’m so disappointed! Unfortunately, I do not recommend this project as it did not even last me a year. Sticks to the brand you know.
