Description
Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Bermudagrass is a revolutionary grass seeding product designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This Bermudagrass seed grows in tough conditions, including scorching heat, dry areas, high-traffic areas and on slopes. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair consists of high performance grass seed, continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Bermudagrass also includes a tackifier to help reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and mulch turns dark brown. Plant when daytime temperatures are between 70°F and 90°F with no danger of frost. For best results, water when mulch turns light brown to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

I bought a 10LB and a 20LB bag of Scotts patch and repair early in June to repair burned out areas where deer had peed. Live in Georgia and our yard is entirely Bermuda grass. Prepared each area by loosening soil, and adding new top soil and sand before applying Scotts EZ seed, Bermudagrass. Watered 2x a day for over a month...No new Bermudagrass in sight! What did emerge was some other variety of grass (shown in photos)

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts EZ Seed Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. Warm season grasses should be planted in early Summer. They require soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees. Cool night time temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

People need to realize that grass also needs good soil, ph, nutrients, etc to grow. You can’t just throw it in some dirt and expect full grass. I recommend getting your soil tested to see what nutrients are missing and get a fertilizer to supplement them. If you want a good lawn, you’re gonna have to get your hands dirty and more maintenance.
Amazing!

3-24-2024 This product doesn't work at all !! I live in Southern California -- The best climate in the world and I am a gardener, no weekend hack !! Stay away from using this. I have babied my lawn patch work for 2 weeks like a golf superintendent at the masters. The seed content of this bag is the problem ----- They have shorted the bag of the key ingredient. It needs more seed !! I would never use this again. Just buy Bermuda grass seed.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Ezseed Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. Make sure the ground is still visible when EZ Seed has been applied and saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and mulch turns dark brown. A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. When EZ Seed begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. This seed germinates best when daytime temperatures are between 60 and 80 degrees F. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. I prepped the soil by first roto-tilling the area. Next I raked out all dead weeds and their roots. Broke up all dirt clods, and raked the area smooth. Applied the seeds exactly as directed. Watered twice every day. Today is exactly 3 weeks and not a thing has sprouted. Nothing.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Ezseed Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. For best results, this product should be applied when daytime temperatures are consistently in the 65℉ range for cool season grasses and in the 85℉ range for warm season grasses: the warmer the soil, the faster the germination. Cool or fluctuating nighttime temperatures will slow germination. We recommend watering 1-2 times per day to keep the seeds moist until they germinate and then 1" to 1-1/2" per week as needed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit germination. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. Tried my best to like this product multiple times, but have never been successful with it. Followed directions carefully. Kept it watered. Even added fast growing Scott's seeds to the mix. No difference.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts EZSeed Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. Evenly apply EZ Seed so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4X upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients. If Seed was applied to thickly, seed on the bottom will still germinate, gently water the area for 2 minutes to allow the water to reach the seeds. When EZ Seed begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts EZeed Bermuda and appreciate your feedback. Warm season grasses (Bermudagrass, Centipede and Zoysia), which germinates in early summer, requires soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees (24 - 32 Celsius). The warmer the soil, the faster the germination. This generally requires daytime temperatures consistently in the 80+ (27+ Celsius) degree range. Weed control used prior to seeding such as a Crabgrass Preventer will prevent seed from germinating. Make sure the ground is still visible when EZ Seed has been applied. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at 888-270-3714 if we can further assist.

We put out thick chunks throughout the yard about a month ago and already have grass growing!! My yard was supposed to be seeded throughout part of my backyard at the end of last year. I moved into a new build in January, and I still don't have bermudagrass. However, the EZ Scott is coming up thick and green just after one month!! I also use it between my plots of bermuda sod, and it's filling in already. Costco has the best prices on it though, but far!
Definitely WILL GROW with plenty of water!

Omg. I spread this stuff over some bald spots i had, I chose Bermuda hoping it wouldn't grow so fast. Anyway I went out of town for 2 weeks, (we had a ton of rain while I was gone) came back home and those bald spots had grown knee high! Couldn't believe it! Shocked but in a good way!
Waste of time and money!

Was super late reviving my lawn. Due to the bald spots, had to lay Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair down 6/24/2021. One month later the results are undeniable. I'm extremely pleased with this product and will continue to use it as needed.
