A: This air purifier is designed for rooms up to 1,200 sq. ft, but it can also be used in smaller rooms. To maximize the air purifier's filter life and performance, we recommend leaving the unit in AUTO mode. After 100% clean air status is achieved for 10 minutes in AUTO mode, the air purifier will enter ECO mode and further optimize the filter life.

A: f your air quality never reaches 100%, make sure that the filter is properly installed without its original plastic packaging. If the filter is properly installed, then it may need replacement. Note that the filter generally requires replacement every 6–12 months, but if a high amount of particulate matter is regularly present in your air, you may need to replace the filter more often. Activities like smoking, burning candles, running a humidifier, opening windows, and cooking (among other things) can add more pollutants to your air. Make sure to survey your environment and remove anything that could be causing low air quality.

Loved it at first. Less than 2 months and the sensor is always at 0% clean air. Tried vacuuming the sensor and cleaning the filter. Didn’t work. Luckily target took it back since it was still fairly new. Didn’t chance getting another since it seems to be a known issue with this model.

At first, I was skeptical. It started off at 100% and stayed that way for a few days, but I stuck with it. It now recognizes smells and immediately goes into turbo mode like cooking, etc.. so glad I purchased this! Guess it needed some time to get used to the house?!

Seems to work well for a small 1/1 apartment. I like to move into the bedroom at night. I don't find it helping my allergies, but the meter changes when cooking and having candles on. This shows that it does register particles in the air. I hear finding replacement filters can be a hassle.

The child lock is the reason I bought this in the first place. As a mom to two toddlers that’s very important to make sure they are safe and it actually works to keep it locked. It’s quiet, not too large so you can keep it discrete too. The options to see how clean the air is by % or my favorite the pollen count. It even cleans the air when you use hair product near it. It gave our family a peace of mind knowing the air was clean.

I would make more sense if the bottom vents to pull air in on bottom, would be in front instead of in back where its facing wall. I keep mine screen facing wall bc of it.

While the filter shows it has been working, it creates so much static that I now have to vacuum and wipe down the walls and mop more often. In fact, I have to use our regular, heavy duty vacuum more since our stick vacuums - which I use daily for maintenance - aren't strong enough to pull the statically charged fur (and my own hair) off the smooth surfaces (tile, hardwood). With the price of this and the two filters I ordered, it's a pretty big waste of money.

Unfortunately I've not had the good experience that some other reviewers have had. I was so excited about this air purifier. After about 3 months, we woke up to our display being locked at 0% air quality. after calling Shark, they determined this was a known issue and there was no fix. They sent a replacement unit, but after 3 weeks we had the exact same issue happen. The unit still functions - but, without the "Cleansense IQ" it basically becomes an overpriced fan with a filter.

We purchased this mainly for the winter months to help prevent sickness in the house. No set up required, you just take it out of the box, plug it in and turn it on. We just leave it on auto and go about our lives. It’s so quiet, I rarely notice it when it’s on. It’s fairly large, but covers up to 1200 square feet. We keep it on the opposite side of the house from the kitchen and it kicks on every time we use the stove top! Our house smells significantly fresher- and there’s no lingering smells from the kitchen. Just like every other shark products I own- it’s high quality material and works incredibly well!! We plan on purchasing another one for our basement. We absolutely love and recommend!!!

This is the best air purifier I ever owned. It's actually my second unit and is for large master bedroom. The first unit takes care of the dining room and living room. I have another competitors purifier on lower level of raised ranch but I actually prefer Shark as number 1.

I received our Shark Air Purifier (HP202) last week and have been happy with the results so far. It was easy to set-up, and it appears to be functioning properly. My only concern right now is the replacement filters are out of stock. I was planning on buying an extra filter when I bought the purifier so I had it on hand when it was needed in the future. I hope the filters are restocked soon, and getting a replacement doesn't become an issue.

The Shark Clean Air is a solid air purifier. It looks great and is super easy to use, with multiple fan speeds and a smart sensor that adjusts based on air quality. The HEPA filter does a great job of catching allergens, perfect if you have allergies. Maintenance is pretty straightforward-just replace the filter every few months, and you're good to go. It's not the quietest option, but it definitely improves the air in your home. Overall, it's a great choice for cleaner air!

As some reviews have mentioned, this air purifier does not work. I purchased two to compare and both remained at 100% clean air the entire time. I had the same air purifier previously and it stopped working, so this was a replacement. Same product, but completely and disappointedly very different in operation. The first air purifier would turn on at the slightest scent of food, candles and even when blow drying my hair. These two…100% clean air. Useless. Waste of time and money. Both returned. Invest is a quality product. Would def not recommend this product.
