Q: When pouring this into a bottle for feeding after removing from the fridge do I warm the bottle? Wait for it to turn room temperature? or can I give it directly to baby?

A: Generally you don't have to warm the bottle because a lot of babies like it at room temperature or a little cooler. If you want to warm the bottle, place it in a bowl of warm water or hold it under warm tap water. Shake the bottle gently and then test the temp, making sure it's warm and not hot. Don't ever heat the bottle in a microwave because the formula can get hot really fast and burn your baby's mouth. Hope this helps! -The Similac Team

Q: How long is it good for once refrigerated?

A: Once the 32 fl oz bottle has been opened, it should be recapped and placed in the refrigerator and used within 3 days (as stated on the label). Once you pour the formula into individual feeding bottles, the storage time changes to 48 hours. We recommend a shortened time when the opened, poured product is prepared in to a typical home environment, which is not sterile. Hope this helps! - The Similac Team

The NICU started my baby on this formula. I wanted to switch to a cheaper competitor, but two pediatricians advised to stick with Similac Neosure because my baby was doing so well on it and doubled his weight! He does seem to have a lot of gas, but I will live with it since we are relieved to hear that has grown so much and went from the 27 percentile to 49 percentile for his age group.

Not sure why it has such bad reviews, this was a game changer for me. Baby was 5percentile for the first 2 months, after using this for 3 months he went up to 25 percentile. I switched to another type cuz it kept running out and my baby dropped back to 10 percentile within 1 month. Hence, I’m back this and will stock as much as I can

my daughter was born at 37 weeks and while I was exclusively breastfeeding she wasn't gaining weight and was admitted to the hospital. Her pediatrician recommended a higher calorie formula and this one has helped so much while I alternate it into her feedings. Wish they had the 2oz or a 6oz mini bottles for on the go!

Baby was born at 35 weeks & was in NICU for 5 weeks. PROS: Neosure RTF was best (compared to the powder) & no side effects. Gas & constipation are normal - as pediatrician says- b/c the preemie digestive system is developing, not due to the formula. Gas listed a few days. I switched to a preemie nipple, slightly warmed the bottle & gas was gone. Five months later, baby is exclusively on Neosure, & is growing well. CONS: It sells out frequently. Also I wish Neosure came in RTF 8oz size!

I know its what my baby needs and it has all the extra nutrients and calories my 29 weeker needs, but it does cause tummy discomfort and constipation. My nicu said it’s the best preemie formula if you need it.

Was recommended to switch this as little one was born at 5lbs/37 weeks. Baby was miserable and stopped pooping. Constantly passing smelly gas, red face, arching back and constipation. Only used for 4 days when 5 days old. We are almost 2 weeks old and wish I could provide relief instantly.

My baby was born at 31 weeks. He was in the NICU for 30+ days. To be sent home with this and watch the pain he was in broke my heart. The amount of gas he had and couldn’t poop was sad. I took him off myself. He’s on a different brand and DOING well. Neosure is the devil…..please go back to the drawing board with this one.

We were put on this brand in NICU. I have nothing bad to say about this product except that it's very hard to find in our stores. It usually takes me 6 different trips throughout the month to find the formula. It's not as popular as other brands. Bit we have seen an increase of NICU babies. When mine were born in March and released in late April we had 38 nicu babies that wasn't including the other hospital. And of course this brand is the only recommended one for our babies. My son gained his weight that he needed to and my daughter does have reflux and gerd issues. This hasn't been to much of an issue. She just had to have extremely thick formula. Which saddens me.

I have two very unhappy, fussy gassy twins. Their pediatrician insists on them having neosure but it makes my girls so uncomfortable. Screaming in pain. There really needs to be a more sensitive formula for our preemie babies without taking away the extra calories. I now have 20 cans of this in my cabinet that I’m cautious to even use.

My baby was born at 33weeks and spent 2 1/2 weeks in the NICU where they gave him neosure, upon being discharged from the hospital we were told he had to continue this milk but I immediately noticed that he was very uncomfortable and always full of gas. He has been constipated as well. If I had a choice I wouldn't have given this to my baby from the beginning.

The twins were born at 25 weeks and upon discharge from the Nicu, they were prescribed this formula as a fortified for my breastmilk. They have gain weight in it but they produce painful gas and irregular bowel movements. I want to discontinue but my pediatrician insist that they need to be on this formula. Since I have reduced the amount of feeds I fortified hoping that will help with the amount of gas they are producing. As a mom, I feel bad because there is nothing I can do to relieve the pain when my babies are pretty much screaming.

My sweet 25 weeker was miserable on neosure. She was fussy, crying, gassy and constipated so bad. And the body straining ugh. It breaks your heart and makes a new mom feel like we're doing something wrong. She was just exhausted. Yeah she gained weight but, at a very high cost.

My little one is only 3 weeks old and we were told this formula would assist her in gaining weight (she was premature). She turns red a lot trying to have a bowel movement. She also fusses a lot on this formula, normally within 10 minutes of having a bottle and she is gassy and does not go into a deep sleep. Not sure if her body still needs to adjust or if/when she can switch to another formula.

I cannot understand why after so many people complaining about the formula's terrible effects on babies nothing has changed. I will be looking for an alternative for my baby. It is a shame, babies are suffering here.
