Q: Can the iron be easily reset once the auto shutoff is triggered? There doesn't appear to be a power or reset swtich and jiggling the iron does not seem to work. Thanks!
A: Hi, Yes. To reset the iron: Move the iron back and forth to reset. The wait/ready light will change from blinking red to solid red and the iron will start heating again. Q: I've used the iron on steam twice and both times after about 10 minutes of ironing the light starts blinking. There is plenty distilled water in the iron and I'm using the correct setting.
A: I do a lot of seeing and quilting, and I almost always buy irons that have the auto shut off feature. When the iron is inactive the lights blink. This one shuts off in 30 minutes.

Q: were does the calcium build up go . the last iron I had with this feature sprayed out black bites when I used the steam spray
A: Thank you for reaching out to Sunbeam. The iron will leave white residue or expel white flakes if there are calcium deposits or starch buildup on the iron. The iron should be cleaned if this occurs. You can follow the manual's cleaning instructions to prevent sediment buildup from clogging the steam channels. Q: Does this have a dry (no steam) setting on it?
A: Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. Please follow these steps for dry ironing: 1. Insert the plug in the electrical wall socket. 2. Make sure that the Steam Select Switch is in the closed position. 3. After the Indicator Light goes off, you may start to iron.

Q: Do you need to use distilled water?

Q: I bought 2 of these, ine for myself and one for my daughter in college. Both of them almost constantly leak water. We are using correct settings. what is happening?
