Toddleroo by North States Extra-Wide Bright Choice Gate

This gate was easy to install and worked well. My only concern is the width of the gate. We had it in a high traffic area and it was difficult to get through when carrying items or walking through several times.

Toddleroo by North States Extra Wide Bright Gate it’s perfect for any space, it’s made of a good sturdy material that keeps your kids safe on any place. I use it most for my kitchen entrance and it’s made it work. Safety is a priority when you have kids and this is really good tool for any house with little ones.

It’s an ok gate. I wouldn’t consider this an extra wide gate though. Maybe it’s because we are in new construction and a more open floor plan that this doesn’t fit in my, what I consider, extra wise spaces? It’s great for the bottom of the steps or to close off a standard doorway though!

I really wanted to love this gate. It’s great that it come with the different pieces to allow it to adjust to various doorways. The finish is nice. The gate is very sturdy. However we find it challenging to open and close one handed. I’m always carrying things around so I need a gate that’s easy enough to open while carrying things.

The customization resources with this Toddleroo gate is great. They provide multiple gate grates so you can adjust for the width of your door/hallway. The instructions provided are very clear with both written and pictorial steps. Shown are different scenarios of what is needed for a wider/narrower gate set up depending the measurements of your doorway. It was easy to assemble the gate and it is sturdy. The latch is easy to manipulate (for the grown ups). I've installed it in my kitchen/laundry room doorway so the littles ones and pets cannot go into the cabinet with the laundry and cleaning supplies. It doesn't get in the way when I need to access the washer and dryer. It is a good height as well, tall enough so the dog cannot climb or jump on it. Easy to maintain and clean as well. I've wiped it down with moist towels and sponges.

This gate was bigger than I thought it would be (I'm not very good at imagining dimensions)! It is sturdy and durable and extra wide as advertised. I use it to keep dogs out of the dining room. So far they haven't busted through it or figured out how to open it!

I love the concept of the easiness when it comes to this baby gate. But, it can be a bit tricky sometimes, as there are a lot of steps to open the gate. You have to press the 'latch', pull up and push in/out when opening the gate. This is a lot to do when you have your hands full or are carrying a little around! And sometimes it doesnt always work the first go around! Haha! Installation and assembly was a bit insane. You will have yor measure your spot so that you can figure out what attachements you need, if any! You may have to pull some pieces out on the side, (i posted pictures) with a flathead screwdriver, this was a pain and honestly caused damage on the pieces. To list a few pros, the concept is nice and once you get used to opening, it does get easier. The comes with various attachments, making it convenient for your different sized entry ways, etc. It is supposed to be easily transferable throughout the house. This is perfect whether you are using it for infants/toddlers or pets.

This is a sturdy gate. We got it to keep our dogs in/out certain areas of the house - and it does the trick. The gate opens in and out of the room so that’s a bonus. It does have a lip on it, which may be undesirable to some but it’s not too high. Fairly easy to assemble (my husband said so anyway).

I was really tickled to receive this Toddleroo Gate to put up in my home to keep my little ones out of the hallway & rooms that they're not supposed to be in. It arrived super quickly, was packaged very well too prevent any damage from happening during shipment and I was also able to recycle the packaging which was a plus! The gate itself was pretty easy to get installed & working. Just takes about 10 minutes to install it and you're good to go. So far it's been wonderful. No issues. Works great. Made of quality materials and seems like it's gonna last for a long time. It's also great for letting my pets out of where I don't want them too! I like that it's not a crazy color either. It matches my decor nicely. Doesn't stand out. Looks nice. My littles haven't figured out how to open it up, so that's another plus. I do recommend this product for all the reasons I've mentioned. I think that you would love it as well. It will last, it works well, it looks nice, should match most homes decor. Works for pets and kids. You really cannot beat it.

I initially got this gate to be able to ‘lock’ my kids in their play room while I do something much needed, like make a cup of coffee. Probably my measuring fail, but it didn’t fit as expected. Love the tension installation, I did get a bit frustrated trying to add the extensions and install the gate without and extra set of hands but it was easy to do and instructions were clear. The gate is simple to use and the easy swing door is great!

This is a great baby Gate. It works for multiple size openings and had different attachments for wider doors. It was very easy to install. We had it up on the stairs within 10 minutes. I loved that it’s easy to open with one hand. But that it’s not too easy for the little ones.

I received this Toddleroo by North States Extra-Wide Bright Choice Gate for free from the Hey, Bullseye sampling program in exchange for my honest review. We no longer have toddlers roaming around but we do have dogs. The entrance to the room I wanted to close off is a little wide, just over 36”. Currently we use a scat mat to deter the dogs from entering the room. They will sometimes jump or quickly run over the scat mat and sometimes the batteries will die. The room has our two birds who fling their diet to the floor. Some of their diet can be toxic to dogs. The gate was packaged securely in the box. I laid out the pieces and followed along with the directions. I measured the door entrance and selected installation 1C for my door opening. It called for the 2 bar extension. I had to remove the plugs from the main gate. The lower plug popped right out with a little bit of prying using a small flat head screwdriver. The top plug would not budge. I could not get the screwdriver in there to pry it out. I had to use a hook tool to pry it out. I inserted the new plugs. The bottom went in easily, but I did have to use a rubber mallet to get it flushed. The plug on the top would only go so far and I had to use the rubber mallet to get it flushed. There was also a sharp plastic piece on the top plug. I then attempted to attach the extension; it slid on nicely on the bottom, but I had to use the rubber mallet to get the top on. I decided I did not want to use the mounting cups on the door frame. They have 2 options for mounting cups, double stick tape and screws. Screws would ruin my wood frame. I hate the sticky substance the tape leaves behind. I placed the gate where I wanted it and tightened the screws on the side. I tried using the tool to tighten and it was very awkward turning it and it would slip off the screw. After fighting with it, I eventually had someone else pull on the bar and I tighten the screw. Once set up I found it very difficult to open. To open you have to slide the button on top, squeeze the button under the handle and pull up on the gate. It is not an easy squeeze. Close is not a problem. It will automatically close if left ½ or less open. I have used many pressure gates over my lifetime and this one is the worst. I would not recommend this gate.

This gate is great and I love how versatile it is with the different extender options. I can use in in narrow doors, wide doors and even my hallway. Works well for keeping little ones (and pets!) out of rooms they don’t need to be in. The gate part is easy to open and I love that it has a little glow in the dark emblem on the gate handle so it’s easy to find at night!

This is a versatile extra wide children’s/baby safety gate that is easy to install, fits wide openings, and stands very securely. While other typical safety gates are meant for openings between about 30-40 inches, this can easily go up to 48 inches or maybe even more.

This gate was a little difficult to install, but if I had followed the directions and measured the opening first it would have been easier. This gates purpose is to prevent our elderly dog from going up the stairs. The child proof thumbslide to engage the latch is a little overkill... well so I thought until my 13yr old nephew ran upstairs while it was open and couldn't get back out! It will remain childproof for my amusement.

This is definitely the best baby gate ever! Its extremely easy to set up. I love how it latches and unlatches. Material is high quality and extremely durable. Love that it adjusts for sizes as well always a huge plus.

The instructions were too hard to follow (and I’ve assembled plenty of other things) and the walk thru gate would not latch due to a defective frame. This gate has some great features, like the expansion and the pressure mounting, but turned out to be really disappointing due to the defective frame. I received this product for free from the Hey, Bullseye sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

To figure out if one of the two extensions were needed, I measured the entry where the gate was going to go. On the directions it shows which extension is needed before assembly. The directions were clear, easy to follow and made for hassle free installation. Once up, the ease of opening and closing the gate was perfect. I have a hard time opening some gates when my hands are full or if I need to open quickly. I have no issues with this and was able to easily and quickly open. The look of the gate is very nice and even has a little glow in the dark feature by the handle. The pressure mount is nice because if I decide to move it to another area or need to remove quickly, there will not be any holes from screws or mounting setups that need to be removed.

The Toddleroo By North States Extra-Wide Bright Choice Gate has made my life easier. This gate is easily adjustable and can fit doorways that range from 29.75 inches to 52 inches wide with the included extensions. It's 30 inches tall. The directions are easy to read, and it was simple to install. This is a tension gate that comes with wall cups and double-coated tape. This helps to secure the gate in your doorway. The extensions are simple to attach when needed. Once the gate is installed there are two options. Option one is to open and close the gate as needed, and option two is to use the "stay-open" feature. When using the first one you simply slide the top button of the handle with your thumb and squeeze the trigger on the lower side of the handle while lifting at the same time. It's easy to do. The gate will close on its own if you just let it go. I like that this gate swings open and closed in either direction. There's a gate stopper at the bottom of this gate that will help you determine which direction you want the gate to open, or leave it level to use both. If you choose the "stay-open" feature, you can simply swing this gate open past a 90-degree angle and it will stay open until you close it. I like that this gate is easy to use and comes in a neutral color of white and matches my walls. It's durable and sturdy once installed properly. It can be cleaned by simply wiping it down with a wet cloth.

This toddleroo metal gate was so easy to set up. I like how it comes with 3 different size adjusters to get the perfect fit. The gate is easy to open and close. I like how it can swing both ways and also stay open if you like it to. Very pleased with this baby gate
