The Filter only lasted for 3 months

The design is good and the pitcher is easy to use. But how come the filter only last for 3 months, whearas the advertising on the box saying it would last for 6 months? I bought it in January. Today (April 5th), the light turned red indicating I need to change the filter. I have only used it by my own and only for drinking.

No Lead removal!

DOES NOT REMOVE LEAD! I just tested my brita with a brand new filter we installed last night. High levels of lead are still present in my drinking water! I wish I could attach a picture so you can see this dark purple water after lead test instead of yellow result with distilled water!

The design is not well executed. I have been using it for 2 months and I recently noticed water accumulating on my refrigerator shelf. After investigating, I discovered when the pitcher is filled with water higher than the bottom of the handle, water slowly leaks and runs down the exterior where the handle is attached. Brita please do better in your design! The pitcher isn't cracked, it's simply not well contructed.

Pitcher cracked within 2 weeks. I am so disappointed. I looked forward to using it and was thrilled with the results from the very first use. Then I noticed the pitcher was leaking all over my counter. After closer inspection I found a long crack in the plastic pitcher. How did that happen? I expected better quality. Per target, This item isn’t returnable. I liked the product right up to the point the pitcher cracked. I’m debating buying a replacement pitcher but am leery about the quality. I spent $60 on the pitcher and two extra filters.

The light stop working before I even get to replace the filter once. It says that you should replace the filter after 115 but the green light gets activated every time in pour a glass of water or a 16oz water bottle. How does it know how much water I’ve poured. very tricky. I didn’t like the product.

I BOUGHT IT A YEAR AGO, AND THE CLEAR PITCHER CRACKS VERY FAST. IT HAS BEEN HOLDING THE WATER BO=UT NOW LEAKS. IT'S A PITY BECAUSE WE LIKE IT AND THE COLOUR AQUA IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT I WISH THEY WOULD REPLACE THE BOTTOM PART SO WE CAN RECYCLE THE TOP. IT'S THE SECOND TIME THE BODY CRACKS IN 2 DIFFERENT MODELS.

Very Good for Drinking - Not for Coffee

re: Tahoe with Elite Filter Installation went fine and everything works. Drains fast - about 5 minutes to completely drain the top filled to max line. Straight drinking water tastes very good but not quite as good for making coffee as my distilled water with .26g baking soda + .64g magnesium /gal mixture. In a blind test my wife actually preferred the Brita water to the distilled mixture as straight drinking water compared to the flat taste of the distilled water mixture. Apparently coffee doesn't work well with too many minerals especially my very hard water here in Southern Coastal California. A few suggestions for Brita. Since a lot of people seem to have difficulty firmly seating the filter I would suggest a locking bayonette type filter mechanism with visual locking marks. This way ikne could both feel and see the filter lock in place. Secondly, please offer a glass pitcher in order to avoid any possible PFAS bleed into the filtered water. I don't know of this is an issue or not but I would sure like to see a test. Speaking of PFAS, I was amazed to see that the Elite filter is certified for PFAS reduction under NSF/ANSI standard 53 according to Brita's performance data sheet. If this is really true I am amazed that Brita doesn't market this aspect of the filter. If I am reading the certification correctly, if the incoming water contains 1.5ppb PFAS the Brita Elite filter will remove 98.1% of it. I presume this means that if the incoming water contains a greater concentration of PFAS than 1.5ppb then the 98% removal won't be enough to meet the standard. Do have that right Brita?
