The Denali water pitchers flip lid makes refilling a breeze, while the SmartLight indicator lets you know when its time to change the filter. This small water pitcher comes with 1 Brita Elite Water Filter, which should be changed every 120 gallons or about 6 months****for best results.

    I wish I went with pur or even targets brand. This is the worst Brita I’ve ever owned. The filter doesn’t seal, so unfiltered water leaks into the basin with the filtered water. If there is any unfiltered water left at all in the top portion when you pour it, it will pour out along with the filtered water since the top part isn’t fitted or blocking the the upper basin. It’s a horrible design that makes so sense.

    The expensive filters should be fine if they work to remove lead, but the thin plastic pitcher is insuffiient and crappy. It will surely crack easily. I have to use the filter in previous Brita pitchers which are far more substantial.

    I recently started using my 6-cup Denali pitcher with Elite filter purchased to take less space. Upon reaching to pour a glass of water, I noticed a puddle of water on the counter beneath my pitcher. On closer inspection, I see a small vertical crack seeping water. The pitcher hasn't been banged or dropped. I called Brita and they are sending a replacement pitcher. It may crack as well. Meanwhile, this new pitcher is much thinner and flimsier than my 20-year old round pitcher. I'm glad I still have it!

    Needed a new Brita, after cleaning this one for the first time I noticed blue streaks inside the filter reservoir? It reminds me of how nail polish can transfer onto things. Very unfortunate my newly unwrapped Brita seems to have stains of some sort

    Good water - bad design

    Great filtration. Great tasting water. Looks beautiful. BUT design flaws with the pitcher include (1) curved bottom (makes it pretty) but makes this pictcher unstable on refrigerator shelves. Water is heavy and pitcher is very thin, softer than other plastic pitchers from other mfg's - so it's unstable. (2) spout is uncovered so that filtered water is open to inside of the refrigerator - allowing moisture to enter the refrigerator causing fridge to work harder to remove moisture! (3) it tipped over one time into my ceramic sink and it cracked in 3 places!. I will see if other models are better designed but I lack room and have no need for a larger size. Because I have to replace it with a new one I gave it 2 stars. Back to the drawing board Brita, on the SOHO model.

    I’ve had this for about a month now & it’s been leaving black particles in the water. I checked to see if this is part of the process and it says it will take around 3-4 fillings to filter out the black dust but it’s been at least 10-15 fills and it leaves my tongue coated in black dust. I figured I’d give it a chance but the window to return it expired by now & it’s pretty expensive purchase to be so faulty. Concerning & extremely disappointed in product.

These are particles of activated carbon and aren't harmful. Carbon can break loose during shipping and can be minimized by submerging the filter upright in a glass of cold H2O for 15 minutes.     This is a great pitcher for small spaces. So if you live in an apartment, RV, van life, etc. this is the perfect item. I am not giving it a full five stars because when the pitcher is full to the “max fill” line, it does tend to leak water filter sensor lid. It’s not a terrible leak, but could be an off guard feature to a guest or someone who doesn’t know about it.
